Eisenhower delayed D Day one day didn’t he?
“In the days leading up to D-Day, Stagg and his team forecast that weather conditions would worsen and on 4 June Eisenhower postponed the invasion by 24 hours. The decision to postpone was a difficult one, as any delay made it increasingly difficult to keep the operation a secret.”
And
Remember the weather prayer requested by the General in the movie Patton?
No surprise attack here.
Hostages should pray for sunshine, I suppose.
D Day was delayed over weather because of the ocean. They had to cross the English Channel then conduct a shore operation. That would be hell x10 in a storm.
