Everyone knows incursion is a Hamas trap. I think Israel will go through with it anyway, Just like we did in Fallujah. Nevertheless, I cringe looking at the staging of those tanks and expecting the drone attacks any minute.

If they don’t get rid of every Hamas member and bring home the hostages(Dead or alive) the Israeli Govt will never recover from that..it will be a total failure on their part..F the pressure, Israel has to do this they will be hated no matter what they do

That’s for sure.
All i can think of is that it's taking time for the IDF to mobilize their troops.
I would guess they are revising plans and tactics as a result of the after-action-reviews.
There are probably no hostages left alive to rescue. It will probably come down to "move in, draw fire, call for air strikes or artillery to obliterate a grid square, repeat".
When there was still video from inside Gaza, the area was buzzing with the sound of armed and surveillance drones. That will change things quite a bit. Infantry does poorly against attack drones, even when in bunkered positions. Armored vehicles also do poorly against attack drones.
Hamas likely does not have attack drones. IDF clearly does have them and in large numbers. Advantage IDF, at least in Gaza.
Attack forces moving in with a drone screen will be very hard to ambush. They still must be quick moving and cannot linger anywhere.
I know Sderot has really been hammered. I’m glad they’re OK!
That Iran warning could be it, to get more assets into place. Not sure how long it will take to get that second American carrier group there.
