Trump makes election push for Jeff Landry in Louisiana governor's race

Former President Donald Trump on Friday urged Republican voters to rally behind Louisiana GOP Attorney General Jeff Landry to become the state's next governor.

On Saturday, voters of all stripes in the Pelican State will head to the polls to vote in a jungle primary. Fifteen candidates are running for the job, according to Ballotpedia. The top two vote recipients, regardless of their party, will move on to the general election. Such a runoff could be avoided, however, should any candidate receive more than 50% of the vote.

"Louisiana there is a big election on Saturday ... and I need you to get out and vote for my friend Jeff Landry," Trump stated in a video posted to Truth Social. "Jeff has done a fantastic job as your attorney general."

"As your governor, Jeff will grow the economy, uphold the rule of law, unleash American energy, and protect and defend the Second Amendment like nobody else," Trump said. "He has my complete and total endorsement."

Louisiana, a traditionally deep red state, currently has a Democratic governor in the form of John Bel Edwards, who is term-limited. The main Democratic contender in the race is former state Secretary of Transportation Shawn Wilson.

Vote for Landry, Guillory (lt. governor), Murrill (atty gen.), Fleming (treasurer), and Francis (secretary of state) on statewide ballot. Also Alan Seabaugh for state senator, District 31. These are the conservative choices.

Edwards got in because he is anti-abortion, was a Seal, and made conservative noises when campaigning. He has governed as a full blue Democrat. Term limits work.

PA, AZ, and GA were all stolen with the help and complicity of RINOs.

“Recall PA and AZ and GA .”

In PA, Mastriano was about to win the primary anyway when Trump endorsed. In Arizona the Secretary of State used fraud to get herself elected governor. And in Georgia the anti-Trump Kemp was reelected.

Trump has lost 5 times since 2018 .
He drives the Dem to the polls .

In VA The Gop told Trump to keep away and they Won a close election and Desantis told trump in 2022 to stay away .

Toxic only in your warped assessment. He won Louisiana twice. Edwards got in with the help of some Republican politicians and the LSU/Alabama game occurred on that Saturday.

The LSU/Alabama game is the only thing that matters in Louisiana when it happens. It enhances everybody’s sex life and their bank account. Really.

“Trump has lost 5 times since 2018.”

First, learn how to use perods at the end of sentences.

Second, Trump ran twice and won both times.

Third, since you think the election was not stolen, you are an idiot.

Fourth, I suppose anybody as dumb as you are can’t handle periods at the end of sentences.

Unless the undecideds have broken almost unanimously for Landry in the last couple of weeks which isn’t too probable, the Governor race is headed for a runoff, which Landry *should* win fairly easily.

It says something about the Louisiana Democrat party that they no longer feel the need to run a pretend-moderate like John Bel Edwards and are going with a far-left candidate.

It probably means that they realize their chances in the Pelican State are nil in this race, so they can run any unqualified racist stooge they choose.

OTOH, it may mean that they’re confident enough of the end result that they just need to have some third-string GOP candidates peel off sufficient votes from Landry today (which they will) to force a runoff — and then keep it just close enough to steal in that runoff.
