Cheney amps up Jordan criticism: GOP will lose House and ‘deserve’ it

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) doubled down Friday on her criticism of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), saying if he becomes Speaker, Republicans will lose control of the House in the next election — and rightly so.

“If Rs nominate Jordan to be Speaker, they will be abandoning the Constitution. They’ll lose the House majority and they’ll deserve to,” Cheney wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Regardless of the validity, how is nominating Jordan unconstitutional?

I think she was a little more precise in saying that Jordan would be a disaster and abandon the constitution. Do you agree with that?

Of all the good guys still left in the House, Jim Jordan would be my first choice for Speaker.

My one concern is that he does not have the fund raising power of Kevin McCarthy.

Not sure that is going to a deal breaker for 2024 though.

People are either going to vote for a rejection of the Democrats or a continuation of their destruction of our country.

It’s not.

Cheney is a nut case.

“you cannot win, if you dont fight”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Fights can be won or lost...
If we don’t get a new Speaker SOON, Republicans in the House will be seen by the public as unreliable spoiled brats. Only capable of internal never ending bickering while not working for America during a time our allies are at war.
Some bickering can be tolerated. But it looks like this chapter is never-ending... a kind of “Groundhog Day” scenario.

Its time to move on.
We need a speaker.
Now.

Good point...And another point of reality resides in the fact that if five Rinos vote with the Rats, we could have anybody as the speaker.

Can you imagine the voices that talk to her everyday in her head?
This is the crazy she says out in the open.
This woman is beyond crazy and now is a candidate for a rubber room.

90% of America has no idea or care about the Speaker of the House.

“Working for Americans” gets us nothing but crap. $33 trillion plus in debt. Money thrown around for junk.

Just once, why can’t they give an inch. Why is it always conservative members that have to bend?

People scream for principles then whine and call names when they get it.

“Not a Cheney fan by any means, but she does have a valid point.”

As a sitting representative, Cheney knows precisely what the voters want.

Won’t be because of that. Reps have been gutless wimps and have done nothing to make me want to vote for them. I will, but I’ll be holding my nose
