NEW YORK -- New York City Council Member Inna Vernikov surrendered to police after she was photographed at a pro-Palestinian rally with a gun in her waistband.
Vernikov, a licensed gun owner, attended the rally Thursday at Brooklyn College.
Police told Vernikov she was not authorized to carry the weapon at a public gathering, even though she is a licensed gun owner.
Vernikov's gun was confiscated and her permit was temporarily revoked.

I would not want to be unarmed if in the proximity of such a group.

Add unwise to that description. Sure, a Jewish person can attend a pro-Palestinian rally. It’s a free country. But nothing good can come from it. Nothing.
All you can expect is something bad - ranging from being screamed at all the way to being involved in a killing. Ms. Vernikov needs to pick her battles more carefully.
She was an aide to Dov Hikind, Trump supporter, and former Democrat. Soviet Jew.
She should sue to have these stupid NY bans overturned.

How is she different than Kyle Rittenhouse?
No NY govt officials or employee, outside of the police, should be allowed to possess a firearm. I think that’s fair since the public can’t either. They need to be subjected to the treatment they inflict on the public. There should be no security at govt offices either. Just like in the neighborhoods.

Extremely bad judgment going there armed or unarmed, doesn’t matter. Those people are nuts and they’re violent, a very dangerous mix.
And there is no circumstance where the law would be on her side. Which she ought to know.

If I recall correctly, Rittenhouse was there to defend property against rioters.
Don’t get me wrong. As I noted, Ms. Vernikov had every right to be at that rally. But her attendance had a significant downside. And I don’t see any possible upside. Nothing to be gained, much to be lost.

The proper position would be 200 years away in a high location with a scope.

Because she obtains an insider permit without advocating publicly for permits for every American.
NYPD is an overtly anti-gun and anti-Jewish organization.
I remember a few years ago there was some Islamos*itbag who attacked a synagogue and afterwards a ton of Jewish men in New York City armed themselves to protect their families and their synagogues.
AR-15 rifles were in abundance.
The NYPD showed up and one of the Jewish men was asked by the NYPD why they were armed.
“To protect against the Muslims.”
So the NYPD announced that all the weapons were going to be seized and the Jewish men chambered their weapons and the same man said to the NYPD “Then we will protect against YOU!” and the idiot cops left.
Screw the NYPD if they’re going to hate any freedom or liberty that they don’t like.
The woman had a permit and the thug cops didn’t care. At which point THEY are the domestic enemy of the Constitution!
