Egypt, the other country besides Israel that borders Gaza, moved quickly this week to fortify its border and prevent a flood of Palestinians from entering Egyptian territory during Israel’s counteroffensive against Hamas.
The Israeli military suggested on Tuesday that Palestinians who do not wish to be used as human shields by the Hamas terrorists should flee across the Egyptian border. Israeli Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Hecht rescinded that advice later on Tuesday.
“Clarification: The Rafah crossing was open yesterday, but now it’s closed,” Hecht said.
The Rafah crossing was evidently shut down because Israel dropped several bombs near it. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) said on Tuesday it conducted airstrikes against a tunnel in the vicinity of Rafah used by Palestinian terrorists to smuggle weapons and equipment.
The IDF warned officials in Gaza and Egypt that the strike against the tunnel was coming.
“In recent days, the IDF has been instructing the population inside of the Gaza Strip to distance themselves from designated areas. We emphasize that there is no official call by Israel for residents of the Gaza Strip to exit into Egypt,” the IDF said on Tuesday.

That is true and the point.
The Palis should have been imprisoned for life in Jordan, or executed, as necessary, for their crimes, and the US should have Supported and Recommended that action.
That is correct, the Muslim Brotherhood tried to take Egypt a second time, Obama engineered it and tried to "Regime Change" Sisi.
Fortunately the Obamanation failed.
Egypt still has tourist police.
No other choice now. Come to the US southern border.
“Humanitarian crisis” “America has always welcomed refugees”
“Don’t forget to vote Democrat.”
They do understand and have tried to manage the extreme danger that Islamic Groups like the Palestinians pose, to Everyone.
The West has naively interfered with their management of these groups, and the results this devastating attack on Israel.
The Assad Dynasty in Syria also kept the Muslim Brotherhood under control for the benefit of everyone, until the US screwed that up.
The Assads are hanging out with some bad guys. Hezbollah is backed by Iran.
Neither does Jordan.
I've been to Israel though. Good thing I went when things were calm.
Iran was a glorious Western Oriented, Cosmopolitan, Free Society of All Religions, until US Marxist Democrats refused to back the Shah because he was mean to Muzzie Terrorists.
THEN we got modern Ayatollah Iran.
The US demanded "Regime Change" for Syria for exactly the same reason, although the Assads had kept the world safe from the Muslim Brotherhood for Decades.
By killing them.
No one wants them. they are even more inbred and violent than your average muslim.
Why, what's the problem?
The Obama regime overthrew Egypt's government and installed an Iran ally as the new dictator. You remember him -- the media stooges always referred to him (and even to this day) as "Egypt's first democratically elected president".
Morsi was in power about a year (2012 to 2013), removed from office by popular coup (a third world commonplace), tried for his crimes, and died of natural causes in prison. Good riddance.
Naturally the Iranians need money to continue the campaign of annihilation of Israel and the Jews, and Obama/Biden/Kerry always makes sure Iran gets it, using various deceptive paper trails as well as blatant payment of billions.
Since then, the Egyptians have done a much better job with the Sinai-Gaza barrier, but of course the Iranian proxies have been operating to terrorize and murder throughout Egypt.

None of the Arab states want them.
Palestinians breed like rats and cause nothing but trouble.
