An Israeli official on Thursday slammed former President Trump's remarks on Israeli intelligence and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "shameful."
Shlomo Karhi, member of the Knesset in the Likud party and serving as Israel's minister of communications, reportedly told Israel’s Channel 13 that it is "shameful that a man like that, a former U.S. president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel’s fighters and its citizens."
"We don’t have to bother with him and the nonsense he spouts," Karhi added.
When asked if Trump’s remarks make it clear that he cannot be relied on, Karhi reportedly replied, according to the Times of Israel, "Obviously."

Al 77 has been sent packing
I understand what you’re saying. But consider the day after Pearl Harbor.
FDR had enough on his mind. He didn’t need to hear public criticism from Churchill.
I think the same applies here.
Well aid. 🙂

Some news reports state Egypt did give a call to Israel for a heads up warning sounds like Karhi is in CYA mode.
Trump is the president who moved the US embassy to Jerusalem.
Netanyahu is the first foreign leader to congratulate Biden after 2020 election, while Trump was still legally contesting the results in several states.
Well Israelis official if there is any truth to it and I think there is you need to own it
You make a valid point, yet consider...
Bibi was super quick to congratulate FJB. That must have hurt Trump (and us). Look where we are now.
I say it’s a boy’s fight. They’re even now. Now they can focus on the job.
War has no room for emotions in order to get the job done.
I know that President Trump stands with Israel and will help any way he can.
anti-trump fox news call a Knesset member an “official”, which is like calling a random U.S. House member an offical, you know, someone like AOC of Rashid Talib a U.S. official ...
furthermore, out of the 120 members of the Knesset, anti-trump fox news chooses to promote a quote by one who a hard leftist who is ALSO anti-trump ... gee, i wonder why (well not really)
I’ll blame this on my sipping a homemade magarita. You have explicated a critical point. I was a company-grade officer - tactics vis strategy. But what you said rings true. Bibi - for all of his faults - as I, as an outsider see them, probably didn’t want to piss off Biden. They knew what Biden was.
Bibi needed to at least keep US support as an option. Were I someone who could direct policy, I’d swear allegiance to the first Martian Caliphate just to bide time.
But my inclinations to never underestimate the enemy were reinforced in the 70s. Good people die. Trump was correct.
Trump is a PROVEN great friend to Israel.
Lukuid is Cenrer right rhinoish.
I like Bibi but he owns this screw-up.
Praising Hezbollah as “smart” and knocking Netanyahu was over the top.
Apparently, President Trump has harbored a resentment for Netanyahu “betraying” him by congratulating Biden.
If you put yourself in Netanyahu’s shoes he’d have been insane to have slighted the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with US support so critical to Israel.
Whatever critiques President Trump cared to make could and should have been postponed till after Israelis have stopped dying.
“He can’t help himself
He’s the truth teller
Deal with it”
Truth-telling is not always an attribute of leaders. It would have been truth had FDR said Britain was losing the war in 1940 but that would have undermined the war against the Nazi hordes.
A lot of Israelis are angry at Netanyahu and the General Staff without any foreign analysis. It serves no purpose for a world leader to pile on with the blood not yet dry.
