While it might not be on everyone's radar yet, Republicans are less than a month away from a major election that could shape the landscape in 2024 and have a profound impact on the party's future fortunes.
Virginia is one of the few states that holds its state-wide elections on off years, and the balance of its General Assembly there hangs in the balance. Gov. Glenn Youngkin has been working non-stop to secure a majority, both to deliver tangible conservative wins and to redefine the narrative surrounding more recent GOP losses.
Unfortunately, according to a new report, the Republican National Committee doesn't seem to be interested in helping with that cause.
Virginia Republican Party chairman Rich Anderson met in person with senior RNC staffers in D.C. on Monday to request that the party pour money into the state to help Governor Glenn Youngkin maintain the party’s narrow grip on the house of delegates and flip the state senate, a source familiar with the matter told NR. But senior staffers at the RNC denied Anderson’s request.
The RNC staffers reminded Anderson of a separate meeting earlier this summer, when Dave Rexrode — who heads Youngkin’s political-action committee, Spirit of Virginia — reportedly told senior RNC officials that, at that point, the national party did not need to spend money in Virginia.
Newsflash to the RNC, but it's not the summer anymore. Things can change over the course of several months, and Virginia has become a must-win battleground. The DNC and other Democrat organizations are making a late push in the state, dumping millions into various races.

Same song every election.
Had a tatted up loser come by my house in VA just today offering mail in ballots.
Also, most of them will get the bum's rush off the forum at the same time.
March-April of 2016 on FR was very entertaining.
The RNC has money? Who would give to them?
Main reason I don’t donate to them anymore. Give directly to the candidates,
Trump stayed neutral in the leadership race. Not good enough, maybe he could have stopped Ronna maybe not. He endorsed Jordon a few days ago and it didn’t help at all. Ronna is a rat mole she was the last person the base wanted the party knew it but they don’t give a fig what we want

Sort of like the way the RNC screwed Ken Cuccinelli in 2013
Keep an eye on your voting record after the election. The Dems “did me a favor” and voted for Hillary for me in 2016 after I voted in the Va Dem primary. Submitted an absentee ballot for me which counted despite me going to the polling place. Been requesting absentee ballots ever since to keep them from voting for me and you should see the mail I get from the Dems reminding me to vote and send in the absentee ballot they somehow know I have now.
RNC wants to lose.

I’ve been saying for years that we have a McProblem:
McConnell
McCarthy
McDaniel
One down, two to go! Ronna like her some prestige and loves to party it up and spend wildly. When it comes to increasing the party prospects and general performance; meh.
That’s okay. That’s SOP for those idiots. They don’t know they’re being swindled until it’s all over and they get up on the soapbox and start screaming about releasing the Kracken.
HA! Just brought back memories where Rona came from……another poor choice from Trump.
And the GOP circle-jerk rolls on and on and on and on...
GOP consistency is the stuff of disaster legends...
RE: ....to be caught with their pants down....
Be thankful it’s in Virginia.
We could have had to unsee Chris Christie.
Romney’s niece is more concerned in her personal makeover. The RNC is a farce. They have done nothing to combat RAT rigging or early voting etc. Shame on Trump for supporting her. Trump’s shortcoming is his lack of ability to pick good loyal people.
Considering the luck that Youngkin had getting elected in the first place, getting re-elected this time around will be a minor miracle.
You don't think that the lefties that are the majority in Virginia have forgotten to go out and vote this time, do you? They will absolutely come out in force this time and Youngkin will be history.
I absolutely hope I am gravely mistaken.
Yup just like that got caught with their pants down in 2021 - oh wait never mind.
Yeah Youngkin is a fool who doesn’t know how to win elections and of course the rodents can even run a porn star and beat him - do I have that right?
Oh year and since the Commonwealth’s Attorney General is a Democrat he will fix the race but but wait oh I forgot the Virginia AG is a Republican.

What are you talking about?
Youngkin didn’t run against a porn star, unless you consdier Terry McAuliffe a porn star. Youngkin was the underdog in the race and by a good ground game got the rural areas to turn out in record number to overcome libtard Arlington, Fairfax, Loudon vote. So he definitely knows how to win elections if he has resources.
The AG is NOT a Dhimmicrat. He’s a red meat, doesn’t back down conservative that has been putting the screws to the leftist dhimmi-pedos in Virginia. He doesn’t coddle BLM, DEI or any of the left’s alphabet groups.
The Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears is as bold a conservative as there is and I pray she is the next Gov of VA. She’s not afraid to take on the left. The left hates her because she’s a black, very conservative, pro-gun, pro-life, pro-family, female Jamaican veteran.
Trump’s girl, Ronna McRomney, needs to get off her overpaid lazy ass, exit the spa and support Youngkin and the VA GOP. They may not be perfect but they beat the hell out of the alternative.
