MOSCOW, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Russia expresses its most serious concern at the sharp aggravation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Saturday.
"We call on the Palestinian and Israeli sides to implement an immediate ceasefire, renounce violence, exercise the necessary restraint and establish, with the assistance of the international community, a negotiation process aimed at establishing a comprehensive, lasting and long-awaited peace in the Middle East," she said in a statement.

Funny how every time the terrorist are losing the call for a cease fire is made. Almost as if the terrorist know this and count on it to protect them.
Russia has some gall, to speak of a “ceasefire” for any conflicts elsewhere, while they themselves are pursuing territorial ambitions for their own purposes. They are embroiled in their own dispute, already not going well.
This is not a mere competition, where a score is racked up and trophies are awarded to the winner. It seems like this is existential, for both sides.
Hamas, and Iran, cannot win. Israel, on the other hand, could be so exhausted they cannot claim victory either.

Considering what Russia is doing to civilians in Ukraine and the issue of war crimes, this is a good time for them to shut up.
