Pope Francis called on Palestinian militant group Hamas to free hostages abducted from Israel, adding that he is “concerned” over Israel’s siege of the Gaza Strip.
“I continue to follow what is happening in Israel and Palestine with tears and apprehension: many people killed, others injured,” Francis said Wednesday in his address to the general audience in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican. “I pray for those families who have seen a feast day transformed into a day of mourning, and I ask that the hostages be released immediately.”
“It is the right of those who are attacked to defend themselves, but I am very concerned about the total siege under which the Palestinians are living in Gaza, where there have also been many innocent victims,” he continued.

Probably not much left to free. Most are probably dead, and I suspect a good many of their bodies are in multiple pieces.
I am sure they are very impressed. They always have their mindset focused on pleasing the Vatican. He thinks he is the umbilical cord of the world.
Pope should offer to be their hostage in exchange for releasing all the hostages
Pope Frannie must appreciate the muslims’ efforts to lower Americans’ standard of living to help save the earth from climate change.
And what is he going to do if they kill them?
Proof that the Pope is just a man, flawed like any other by his personal bias and opinions.
Oh, OK, since the Pope is asking.... right.
Now if Taylor Swift told them to release the hostages they’d pay more attention.
Francis should go into the bowels of the Vatican library and read how Pope Urban II handled things instead of crying. Francis should convene a second Council of Clermont to save Western Civilization.
Commie Pope can’t stand somebody else getting all the publicity.
Key point:
The terror attack was well planned, including the hostages.
The question is the endgame, and Israel is a witting pawn in this respect.
Unfortunately, all outcomes are varying degrees of bad for Israel.
