Ukraine Would Receive €186 Billion for Joining the European Union: Report
Breitbart ^ | 10/07/2023 | Kurt Zindulka

Posted on 10/07/2023 7:25:39 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

The fervent push from Brussels to admit Ukraine into the European Union would see €186 billion transferred to Kyiv from other member states in addition to the billions poured into the country to subsidise the war effort against Russia.

According to leaked internal assessments from the secretariat of the EU Council of the cost of admitting nine new countries into the bloc, many states that hitherto were net beneficiaries of wealth transfers would need to begin sending their limited resources abroad and wealthier economies such as France, Germany, and The Netherlands would need to significantly increase their foreign contributions

I frankly don’t care what the EU gives Ukraine. That’s their business.

--- "The fervent push from Brussels to admit Ukraine into the European Union would see €186 billion transferred to Kyiv from other member states in addition to the billions poured into the country to subsidise the war effort against Russia."

To and from. Those current EU "member states" will be behind the "from" preposition "transferring" wealth. This assures that the EU -- going in two directions at once, politically trying to "federalize" and yet slowly breaking into schisms over "wealth transfer" -- will itself fall victim to the larger phenomenon of this time. Populism is rising in a number of EU "member states" in the moment, and that rise is annoying the elite. How dare people in "member states" turn to populism, when the unelected European Commission knows what is best for them....

“More grifting”

True. Ruzzia should be forced to pay to rebuild Ukraine and not the EU.

Sentiment is one thing, and practicality quite another.

And now to the practical side of things. How would you enforce forcing Russia to rebuild Ukraine?

How do you propose to do that? Trying to FORCE Russia into something like that would probably result in nuclear war.

Ukraine is likely to receive funds from russia’s ‘frozen assets’

it’s probably more than $200 billion

Well of course you don't. Why should you? I am assuming that you are a taxpayer. The US provides only about 2/3rds of the funding for NATO so that means that we would only be providing about €186 billion / 2/3rds or €124 billion which is about $131.44 Billion to deserving officials in Ukraine. What a bargain! Why would anyone complain about a pittance like that?

The IRS received 160 million tax returns from individuals in 2022. It is a little difficult to decipher but approximately half the returns received by the IRS in 2022 were from people actually paying taxes, the other half were receiving various subsidies and credits from the government that exceeded the amount that they were responsible to pay... Most of the 80 million returns from people who actually paid taxes received some sort of refunds for overpayments, but that is not what I am referring to. The 80 million other people who filed paid no taxes and many received a payment from the government that exceeded any moneys that they might have paid in.

There were 80 million individual returns received in 2022 from people actually paying money to the government. Thank you very much if you were one of them. The portion of the money paid by people who paid taxes which will go to Ukraine if they are allowed to join NATO is $134,440,000,000 divided by 80,000,000 returns is a mere $1,680.50 per return. It is almost nothing! You probably waste more than that every month on a frivolous expense like a house payment. Biden and company know for certain that Zelensky and his minions will make better use of that money than you would have. Especially considering that 10% or more will be making it into the pockets of a deserving "big guy" somewhere who really needs it.

You mean like the way “frozen assets” that were seized from individuals and corporations in Iran? They never made it back to the people it was seized from but Obama/Biden and company secretly sent a plane load containing $400,000,000 in cash that we know about to the Iranian government.

So yes, why not send more than $200 Billion more to Zelensky and friends? They need and deserve it for sending millions of their men, young and old to their untimely deaths and taking a few Russians with them. /s

Yes, it's their biz, and they are welcome to it.

And, as an aside and IIRC, Ukraine does not happen to be an ally of the United States or a member of NATO.

Let's focus our energy on our OWN border and spend money on our OWN Military and defense readiness.

Our fine planet is not exactly getting safer.
