Just keep an eye on them in case you have to break bad. :-)
Too bad your chair is messy from this afternoon. It’s mighty nice outside there tonight and it would be nice to sit on the patio for a bit. It’s 66 here and I was just outside a little while ago. It felt good.
That’s supposed to be what our high is Saturday. Light sweater weather but quite pleasant.
I hope summer is over. We still have warm weather ahead but not the oppressive heat we had during summer. We’ll be back up around 80 next week and that’s where we should be this time of year.

My goodness, luvie...did they just cut off branches and let them drop?
The ones I’ve had cut down here are always tied first, then cut, and then lowered to the ground. I can see why you might be a nervous wreck.
Glad your patio will stay clean now.

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...sure glad you didn’t lose power to the storms.
Not good news that an older furnace is not working. Hoping they were able to get it fixed with winter coming on.
Looks like Gizmo had fun even tho time was cut short.
Have a great Thursday.

I just want them to finish and leave. LOL! So do the kitties. I’m sure they were a wreck. The only one I saw until dinnertime was little Coal, and she wandered onto the porch right before they started the big noise.
Guess I’d better head out. I didn’t get a nap and I’m sinking fast.

Yep, they let them drop. From pretty high up. He had a rope the sort of slung them away from the house, but they didn’t lower any of them. The sound of them hitting the ground was totally unnerving, especially the huge ones that fell about 5’ from the back door. LOL!
It’ll be worth it to have a cleaner patio and also not to get pine needles embedded in the bottoms of my feet when I go out there barefooted.

I don’t know just how big that tree was but it’s sure taking them a long time to deal with it. We have a lot of big trees around here and tree services usually deal with them in a day. I hope they get done tomorrow so you and the kitties can have some peace again. And you can get a nap. LOL
Catch ya Saturday.

It's at least 3-3 1/2 feet in diameter at the base of the trunk.
Here is the debris field from this morning. Bombs away!!!
There's a lot more to go.
Some of this stuff fell within 4 feet of our back door.
I know they are doing great, but it doesn't stop me from jumping
every time one of those things hits the ground. LOL

Goood mornin', Early Birds!
Yeah...I was up a bit earlier today.
If I look a bit frazzled....
See previous post for the reason why. LOL!
Hope all y'all have a Thank-The-Troops Thursday!
This stream is full of reasons why we do this!
(((hugs)))
PS...it's only 68 degrees. Whoop!!

Dang, what a mess! And you’re going to have divots in the ground large enough to swallow up the lawn mower.
I reckon a nap is out of the question this afternoon. LOL

I’m gonna try right now. They are at the last huge branch parts before reaching the fork. They are huge and very loud. The mess is even bigger right now....and those branches are falling on that last standing bit of fence.
Oh the joy. But. After this no more icky messes on the patio. Once this debris is cleaned up.
See ya Saturday. Have fun at the museum!

I wish you luck with the nap. Too bad you don’t sleep the “vampire sleep” (like the dead) like I do. LOL I slept through a huge maple tree being taken down maybe 50 feet from the bedroom. I knew Hubby was going to have it taken down but didn’t know when. I was shocked when I woke up and saw the mess all over the back yard. Never heard a thing. LOL
As expected, the radar showed it raining here and nary a drop to be seen. It evaporated before it reached the ground. Prospects don’t look good for tonight either. :-(
