Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) holds an early 6-point lead over Republican David McCormick in Pennsylvania’s Senate contest, according to a Quinnipiac University poll.

Less than a month after McCormick jumped into the race to challenge the incumbent, Casey leads with 50 percent of registered voters in the state to McCormick’s 44 percent, according to the new polling.

Nearly 9 in 10 Republicans back McCormick, while 96 percent of Democrats back Casey. Independents were split roughly half-and-half, with 45 percent for the Republican and 44 percent for Casey.

Why does the PA GOP keep running swamp creatures and expecting different results? Any other candidates out there?

Well, there would be the cheating to consider if the Republican were ahead in the polling.

He’s our only hope. The rest of our guys are chumps. If Casey wins Pennsylvania is gone for good. Our gov. candidate-there was no excuse. Fetterman? Gotta be cheating to get him elected.

Too many NY and NJ transplants. How anyone these days votes (D) is beyond me. They’re either stupid or they’re STUPID!

I guess killing babies is more important than jobs.

I thought Casey was the son of some politician in PA? I think that’s why he keeps getting elected. You never hear squat about the guy until election time comes around. He ran originally as a pro-life Democrat, but of course, we all know that’s not true.

His minions will get the vote out for the pro-abort crowd and he’ll win by at least 10 percent.

I mentioned before that the Republican Party leadership is poor in PA and I received a reply that it was non-existent in PA...can’t argue with that.

The article makes it sound like McCormick is a RINO. Is that true?

Casey is the son of a pro-life Dem who was proudly pro life as, I suspect, is Casey. Be harder to paint Casey as an abortion champ.

McCormack and Casey are playing one off against the other as both are UNIPARTY

whether the “D” gets it..or the “R” will depend upon how critical a certain Senate D/R ration is to the planned legislative agenda

Casey Sr. was old-style democrat. Pro-life.

His offspring traded on his dad’s name.

PA has a lot of old f*rts that recognize the Casey name in between bingo games at the adult day care center when the local dem operative comes by with bundles of absentee ballots. to “fill out”. heehee

MCCormick has no chance. He’s a little better than OZ but that’s a low bar to beat

They like him because he’s from an old political family, and because he seems like a decent sort. The last time McCormick ran, you got the feeling that he would embrace any issue if there was a buck to be made in supporting it. He seemed very swampy.

Based on the last ($)election cycle, Casey could be down and still crush the opposition.

He pretended to be pro-life and more conservative than he really was. Some people still believe his old image.
