Tales of electric vehicle failures grow more numerous by the day.

According to Cowboy State Daily, a Wyoming-based news organization, Wyoming’s Teton County and the town of Jackson purchased eight electric buses, all of which have broken down and will no longer run.

The electric buses’ failure has forced Jackson and Teton County to rely on their existing fleet of 31 diesel buses.

NOT clear if these buses were even used in cold weather.

IF only this spring & summer-—this is terrible results.

Anyone know what happened to those Tesla semis bought by Pepsi? Are they in service?

Note, they kept their diesel fleet as back up. So what was the decision to go electric? Free money, not any belief in electric..........................

It depends on the EV. Consider that most trains these days are actually hybrids and therefore a form of EV.

Sticking them in a Fiat 500e, on the other hand... only if you *really* hate them.

Looks like Pepsi stated using some of the trucks about 5 months ago.

“Worst place in the country to do E.V. as half the year is below freezing”

I believe you are massively misinformed.

I live north of JH in Bozeman, MT (we have much better skiing BTW) and our weather is colder than JH.

It will not be until mid December that we will have an entire day below freezing...sure we will have a few weeks below freezing but then we will have many days of 45 degrees as a high and 20 degrees as a low.

I would guess that we have less than 30 days at the most when the weather is below 32 degrees all year.

Also, JH and BZN have little humidity so our cold days are very pleasant compared to high humidity states.

Not trying to be rude, just a bit helpful.

I think they encourage all the vacationing snow skiers to ride the bus to town (cause it is super cold and icy).

“Why does a town with 10,000 people and wide open spaces need 31 buses?”

Ever been there? Have you seen the home prices? The employees are bused in from out of town...

Still think EV’s are the wave of the future? I think it might be 40-80 years and only if a power source other than batteries are found. Perhaps a hydrogen powered on-board generator.

Poor battery technology bit them in their collectivist Unicorn butts!
The batts would only last half a shift on a charge when it got a little cold.
Doh! Suckers!

“Who the hell is riding buses in Teton County?”

Probably Tourists for town tours, or getting from point A to B in town. Also service out to the Teton Ski Resorts I’d think.

Yes but the drive from Driggs, ID where most of the wage slaves live is too far for electric buses.

I’m surprised that the Pope wasn’t able to predict this issue and warn us about it.

He seems to be very knowledgeable on green energy.

They park at the depot or take another bus to the depot (Like they do in Park City). Tourists take the busses as well. I live in a ski town and we have tons of busses, like every other ski town. Without them, things would fall apart.

Hmm - if idle in winter in WY than they should relocate the buses to a southern resort area to be productive.

Cruise ships move about the world to climates in-season to make the most $$$.

If you are here in Iowa on a 15 below zero evening with snow blowing.
It would be totally irresponsible to let someone travel in a EV.
Or on a LA freeway.
Or in Florida with a tropical storm coming.
Or just about any situation
