This is the shocking moment a 21-year-old YouTuber prankster's stunt went badly wrong when a deliver driver he was targeting pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.
Video shows Tanner Cook, 21, who runs the Classified Goons YouTube channel, harassing Alan Colie as he picked up a food order at the Dulles Town Center mall in Sterling, Virginia, on April 2.
Cook can be seen following Colie around the mall while thrusting his phone in his face as it plays the bizarre phrase, 'Hey dips**t, quit thinking about my twinkle' multiple times using a Google Translate app.
Colie backs away from Cook and tells him to stop three times before trying to knock the phone away from his face as the YouTuber continues to advance towards him.
It was at this point that Colie's stunt went badly wrong when the delivery driver pulled out a gun and shot the YouTuber in the lower left chest.
The shooting sparked panic as shoppers fled what they feared to be a mass shooting as police officers pinned Colie to the ground and arrested him. He was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a building.
But last week, Colie, who has a license to carry a concealed weapon, was found not guilty of aggravated malicious wounding in the shooting after he said he was acting in self defense.
He was found guilty on a lesser charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling but a judge will hear arguments to set aside this conviction at a hearing next month after his lawyer appealed against it. If found guilty of this lesser firearms count, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

i dont understand the prank
or why colie was targeted
found guilty of “firing into an occupied dwelling”
did his bullet pass into another store?
I bet those hospital bills aren’t staged. LOL
“Cook was left fighting for his life following the shooting and spent several days in intensive care after the bullet pierced through his stomach and liver.”
Nice try, but until your parents are crying at your funeral, you’re still coming up short against the wrappers.
Oops, I missed the part where it took place in April.
Still, I am always suspicious of anything that it video’d and goes online.
Two on one. Victim has his hands full and the perps keet approaching him after he told them to stop. Threat disparity. This was a good shoot.
+1
One thing I learned is that if you have a legitimate reason to shoot, you keep shooting until the menace and the gun stop making noise.
the guy shot now probably thinks that he can handle getting shot. Darwin will rear his don’t care what you think head again. popcorn anyone.
I think the idiot Daily Mail reporter got confused as to who was who.
IIRC, he said he isn’t going to stop his BS.
Next time, they need to air higher. This delivery man was working his butt off and this POS thinks it is a joke to harass him and interfere with his life???
Trust me, the world wouldn’t miss him.
aim, not air
If the court accepts that he was responding to a perceived threat on his life I don’t understand the charge of “firing into an occupied dwelling.”
He was inside the dwelling and firing within. Was he supposed to drag the aggressor out of the dwelling and then shoot?
Yep, and now he has “upped his street cred” with all his lame followers who will recruit their friends to follow him, bringing him even more revenue.
“Still, I am always suspicious of anything that it video’d and goes online.”
You gotta be suspicious! Too many things online are staged or fake.
I showed my wife the video and explained what was going on. We both agreed that something like this could be a prank...or a real threat. In today’s world, you have no choice but to treat situations like this as a threat...right from the start.
More a case of gene pool cleaning.
Pretty sure Dad needs to take a close look at the values that have been instilled in his children.
Usually, the problem is the dad is absent. In this case, the dad is present and is an idiot.
Someone should ask the father if his family’s “faith in God” justifies trespassing others for financial gain? Trespassing in the name of Mamon is more like it. Then the dad compounds it by invoking the Lord’s name in vain. Unforgiven. His son is likely going to die as an unrepentant sinner. Congrats, great parenting.
That happened yesterday, when a Daily Mail reporter referred to "12 Los Angeles counties" filing a lawsuit.
Reading the thread backwards from the most recent post, one understood your post as a shooting maxim. It’s pithy and eloquent.
