I got to this article via a link at Real Clear Politics and clicked out of curiosity to see the reasoning behind the headline. After reading the first couple of paragraphs (and reading one of them at least twice to make sure I wasn't mistaken), I double-checked to make sure it wasn't from the Babylon Bee. Nope, it is submitted as an "informed" opinion.
If this is really the opinion of the majority of the democrats, we are so royally screwed that there is very little hope of being unscrewed!

But {Biden] wouldn’t necessarily have to tout them if the impact of those [economic] gains were deeply felt by most people actually real. There...fixed it.

Because his standing at podium dementedly screaming about MAGA and “threats to our democracy” doesn’t provoke any disturbing mental images in voters heads.

The author was the press secretary for Jill Biden. The entire article reads like a Soviet era article from Pravda. “Citizens rejoice at hours long lines for bread”

Americans are not THAT stupid!
you can’t shut down the economy by force and then claim things are better when you finally reluctantly allow things to open back up that you forced closed!
To: CFW
So James Carville is the one who's stupid about the economy. After all he did admit he's “f^&king stupid” on Bill Maher’s tired show.

Why don't you tell us the story about how our borders have never been more secure? Being mere serfs, we keep forgetting and trust our own senses.

Yes, nothing says ‘bipartisan peacemaker’ like ‘working to disqualify the other party’.

The article’s reasoning is a BS smokescreen, but I agree that from a Democrat perspective, Biden should stop proclaiming that he and his Dem friends deliberately CAUSED the hyperinflation that has reduced most voters’ standard of living. The Dems are better off pretending thay had nothing to do with it, not claiming “credit” for a disaster.
To: CFW
But he wouldn’t necessarily have to tout them if the impact of those gains were deeply felt by most people. Seldom have I seen so many weasel words in one sentence: necessarily, deeply and most ….. make the supposed point of the statement worthless.
