Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) mocked those who participated in the Republican primary debate Wednesday night, equating it to a junior varsity event as former President Donald Trump is the “dominant force” in the field.
Newsom attended Wednesday night’s chaotic debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, where candidates screamed over each other as moderators sometimes lost control.
When asked in the spin room following the event what he thought the main takeaway was, Newsom told reporters, “I think it will be clear that Trump comes out the dominant force after this debate,” according to a clip from News 18 circulating on social media.
GAVIN NEWSOM: “I think it will be clear that Trump is the dominant force. This is the XFL, JV, a Vice Presidential debate at best.”

He’s cunning. I suspect he’ll win when he runs and he won’t run against Trump. He has spent plenty of time talking to Trump voters and supporting Trump. He’s even on Truth Social.
Gruesome Newsom
Gavin Newsom is evil but politically very savvy. He intends to be President, likely in 2028. His comments here are on-point and he is running a strategy, I believe he’s trying to position himself as a “moderate”. Obviously, he isn’t, but he’s made several moves lately which I’ve noticed. Getting on truth Social, appearing on Sean Hannity’s show a lot, vetoing the bill which would have taken a parent’s view on “gender transitioning” into account in custody hearings, etc.
I knew that would happen, but now I regret not watching it for the laughs. So who came out as the most presidential?
I still believe Trump is wise not to attend these cluster-frigs. All their vitriol would have been directed to Trump, and we wouldn't see the pissing contest between the the candidates. President Trump (yes, his second term WAS stolen) will be the the Republican to face off with whoever Biteme's handlers say.
It won't be cackle Kamala. She doesn't have the debate skills to challenge Trump, not to mention she is stupid, ill-informed and unlikable. My best guess - Pretty Boy Newsome. Who else? Please don't tell me Michele Obama.
Newome's absolute failure in California compared to Trump's accomplishments is a no brainer for those who HAVE brains. The cheating of Dims aside, I'm concerned about the "cult of personality" types that put Clinton in the WH.
Amazing that so many lefties are saying nice things about TRUMP.
Simply does not add up, but they know the math.
Trump never carried the popular vote, in 2016 he said he moneyballed the Electoral College.
In 2020 the vote was close and the Democrats stole even more in the right places.
Now with the technique down they want to run it again.

the only thing that comes close to making sense is that desantis’ handlers must believe that Trump will be put in prison, and that biden’s handlers won’t be able to keep biden in the race, and that newsome will be the Dem nominee, and that desantis will be the GOP nominee ... so this debate would be a warmup to the main event ...
Pence and Scott need to go away.
Biden will not be the nominee. Newsome is warming up in the bull pen to take over. His interview last night with Hannity was his coming out party and his laughing, quick responses will play well with the low information voters who typically vote and are taken in by a slimy conman. He’s the Democrat version of Ramaswamy.
If it’s Trump vs Newsome, Trump will lose. He can’t keep up with this guy who is a fast talker dripping with charm. It will be the old geezer bent on revenge, full of rage versus the politician of the future from the country’s largest state who won reelection by 60% and will be given a makeover by the MSM. They’ll make him a moderate, articulate, new politician just as they created a president out of Barack Obama.
Wake up, Trumpists. It won’t be Trump versus Biden with Trump ahead by 10 points. Biden will be gone before a vote is cast. The Democrats aren’t so dumb they’ll keep a loser who’s now become the butt of jokes everywhere. He’ll be dumped and Newsome is already lining up, ready to take over.
