United Auto Workers chief blasts Trump ahead of Michigan visit
NBC News ^ | Rebecca Shabad and Vaughn Hillyard

United Auto Workers chief Shawn Fain is making clear that he doesn't plan to meet with Donald Trump when the former president visits a manufacturing plant in Michigan on Wednesday as autoworkers maintain their strike.

"I find a pathetic irony that the former president is going to hold a rally for union members at a nonunion business," Fain said in an interview on CNN on Tuesday.

There you go, attack the guy who might actually keep the UAW in business and back the senile old man working to ensure that the world's auto production is all EV and all made in China. The Democrats have some of the most slavishly stupid backers on the planet.

Trump has not explicitly stated his position on the strike, but he has implied that he does not think it is justified. He has accused the strikers of being “ungrateful” and “disloyal” to the country and the companies that employ them.

I respectfully suggest you catch up. As President Trump has said before ----

I get that 100%. Absolutely.

Honestly, there is a part of me that would STILL buy American, even if the quality were a little lower, if the UAW and other unions weren’t so hostile to American industry and toxic to the political environment by giving money to people who my values are anathema to.

wouldn’t it be great to see DJT get a greater following among the rank and file of the UAW than the Chinese bootlicker Joe Biden?

Or if he spends more time with the workers than the 12 minutes that FJB managed to give them on his busy schedule.

What have Biden and Trump said about the 40% salary increase that t Union workers demand? I believe Biden said they should get it.

“why does it always take 2 or more liberals to write an article?”

One to hold the pen, the other to move the paper?
One to write legibly, the other(s) to make up stuff?
The need for reassurance and mutual admiration?

What we’ll be the optics of the fact that Biden met Union workers and Donald Trump met with non-Union non-strikers at “Deake Enterprises”?

The unions have always demanded their members vote democrat.

Now the democrats have destroyed the purchasing power of the money they can’t make ends meet.
The democrats have allowed millions of illegal aliens into the US who would be willing to take those jobs for a lot less pay.

If they do, the next election will see the union bosses demand their laid off workers now vote....Democrat.

It’s not a *little* lower, it’s a *lot* lower. The UAW-extorted manufacturers also have to cut corners to meet their higher labor costs, which reflect elsewhere in their cars.

It’s not that Americans can’t make quality cars - Non-union Americans make plenty of excellent vehicles right here in America. The difference is that the badge on the front is Japanese, Korean or European. The UAW-plagued companies *can’t* make a truly good product on average in large part because of the UAW.

Unionized labor = Socialism.

Always has been.

From the script of the 1941 John Ford classic, “How Green Was My Valley”:

Son:
How will we get power, then? From the air? No. From a union of all the men.

Father:
Union, is it? I never thought I’d hear my own sons talking socialist nonsense.
