United Auto Workers chief Shawn Fain is making clear that he doesn't plan to meet with Donald Trump when the former president visits a manufacturing plant in Michigan on Wednesday as autoworkers maintain their strike.
"I find a pathetic irony that the former president is going to hold a rally for union members at a nonunion business," Fain said in an interview on CNN on Tuesday.

Trump has not explicitly stated his position on the strike, but he has implied that he does not think it is justified. He has accused the strikers of being “ungrateful” and “disloyal” to the country and the companies that employ them.

How many UAW workers were there in 1966?
How many are there now?
Those UAW presidents have been doing a hell of a job.

Yup, everything I have read from President Trump on this issue is the exact opposite of what you just posted aperez77.
Either provide sources, or, retract your falsehood!

Fake. Trump is very clear what his position is. That’s why Truth Social is good. Don’t have to rely on the medias version of things.

I hate to break it to you, but Trump is going to have a huge crowd around him tomorrow. I had to laugh today when biden could only get a small crowd around him, it was pathetic. The UAW workers support Trump.

man, wouldn’t it be great to see DJT get a greater following among the rank and file of the UAW than the Chinese bootlicker Joe Biden?
To: aperez77
Shawn Fain is an old-style Democrat union thug. He actually compared the executives at the big three automakers to Hitler-aligned manufacturers in Nazi Germany yesterday with that dottering half-wit Biden standing right there beside him
Also, asking for a 40% wage hike and a 32-hour work week is bad faith to the point of being insane.

If done right, a union can be run like a guild and ensure a certain level of quality of workmanship to potential customers in a field of service.
However, unions for the most part seem to have devolved into a racket that extorts dues. Pushes causes that the members don't often like. And which benefits those more established in the racket at the expense of those outside of the racket who may wish to work in the field.

Shawn Fain, those like him, and those who support him including any in the rank and file ARE THE REASON I WILL NOT BUY AN AMERICAN CAR.
I just do not want my money funding people who hate me, hate this country, and are trying to destroy it.

Over and above that, the UAW’s build quality (or lack thereof) should be enough to keep you from buying an American car.
