Forcing Black fake majorities to get the “reparations seekers” elected. This is opposite of what the Constitution says.
Is that what the USSC blocked, or did it block gerrymandering?
Both sides do it and it is an extreme violation of our rights.
Alabama is 12.4% black according to the 2020 census.
Alabama has 7 House seats, again according to the 2020 census.
12.4% of 7 is 0.868 ---> 1 majority black district, not 2.
This basically guarantees the loss of 1 GOP seat in the House next time ‘round.
Redrawing congressional maps to make an equal amount of "majority black"
to majority white will make for some contorted, maybe circular maps.
Racism is "good" when it favors negroes.
“What next, Alabama?”
Challenge the constitutionality of the voting rights act
Create the black districts and include as many liberals as possible in each. It will make the rest of the districts more conservative and less welcoming to RINOs.
We've had 60 years of tutelary despotism by the DOJ and Federal Courts: for how long is this supposed to continue?
The figure I just saw says that 26% of the state’s population is black. Knowing that blacks hugely vote for Rats it could be argued that two of state’s seven seats should be Rat.Today one district is Rat.
So according to the Supremes, it’s ok to discriminate based on race to draw congressional districts? Hmmm now that is an interesting read of the Constitution. Exactly how is that different from racial quotas in hiring and college admissions, which I believe they just struck down as unconstitutional didn’t they? Hope some of you constitutional scholars weigh in on this one !!
The Court clearly desires to define any "Section II liability district" created by any legislature, not just Alabama, to be composed of an actual "minority-majority" or "50 percent plus one" voting age population.
While the Court has dispelled unwieldy portions of the 1965 landmark voting rights legislation, in recent years, a majority on the high bench seem agreed upon not allowing so-called "minority influence" districts to continue to dilute definitions under federal law.
Sounds like systemic racism.
Gerrymandering is only OK when DEMOCRATS do it... DUH!
Isn’t gerrymandering the issue?
Weirdly-, psychotically-shaped congressional districts?
Focusing on creating even one majority black district as a sine qua non goal in a given state would seem to bring with it a kind of institutionalized gerrymandering. Meaning that you MUST engage in gerrymandering, regardless of which of the two major political parties you lead in your state.
What do they want, all districts to be majority Black, and how about the math?
You are going to see an end to this black apportionment nonsense when the Hispanic Visigoths take over soon.
The Mexican drug cartel rulers are not going to have ANY WHITE GUILT what-so-ever when they force blacks to back of the bus. As Coach Prime likes to brag, We Is Coming (i.e. the barbarian horde realignment of the USA). /spit
Traitor John Roberts bails out the left again. Bret Kavanaugh has been worthless lately as well...
In a theoretical world ... let’s assume congressional lines were based on pure geography and blacks lived equally mixed among the districts. In this theoretical model blacks as a group would get elected no more or less than whites. It is impossible to pick a number of seats blacks should have as it would depend on the quality of candidates at any given point in time.
What the SC is implying is that segregation is expected behavior. They are also implying that people are racists and will vote purely based on color. Therefore they desire gerrymandering to get some desired end result.
What is not being said speaks volumes.
how the hell is it constitutional for ANY group to be guaranteed a representative of their own?
If this is constitutional, then California should be required to redraw its districts so that Republicans are guaranteed 40% of the seats!
