Leslie is quick, clever and can be very funny, in small doses. She can crack some great jokes, but sooner or later, she tends to play the Race Card as part of her act. That makes it less funny for me, and more CRT negativity.
She was the host of a cable show called
“Supermarket Sweep” where a group of contestants have a short amount of time to fill their shopping carts. I was in the hospital for a few days, recovering from a surgery, so I had time to watch a few of those shows.
She was overbearing, She tended to give lots of attention and compliments to the black families, showing more impatience with anybody not black. She tended to crack inappropriate (sexy) jokes. They were too raunchy for that show atmosphere. She never shut up for more than a few seconds at a time. I think that show was cancelled after two or three years.

Most of the SNL alumni have said they were always pitching ideas to the writers, trying to get more stage time.

No woman ever asked herself that question when Leslie Jones walked out on stage.
She is whining about Ghostbusters movie flop, and says it is because of racism, of course.
No, it is because no one wants to watch unattractive, loud, screeching women and with Leslie Jones, that is all she knows how to do. Everyone knows she is not acting, merely being her obnoxious self, in keeping with the obnoxious title to her “memoir.”
SNL (a mere shadow of its former self, I admit) is a LAUNCHING PAD. It is not an end in and of itself.

My point is not to extol the virtues of the above list but to make a point that the list contains Male and Female, Black and White, Left and Right, Fat and Skinny, Gay and Straight, and other differences. The only thing they have in common is that they moved onward and upward fcrom SNL.
So what’s this whining all about? Go forth and do better for yourself.
They take that “one thing” Uh no. Not if you have range.
Belushi did the bee way more than he wanted but the audience wanted it. But Belushi had a dozen other characters and some imitations His cocker and brando were killer.
Murphy wore out Gumby and Mr Robinson but he also had many others. He was a master of impressions. His stevie wonder still sticks in my mind. James Brown and so forth. And he had a large fan base for stand up and movies.
Your movie sucked. An all female Ghostbuster after the icons nailed it in the original cast. Not gonna happen or way too soon.
Your trope of the angry black female got old and stale. How many skits was the punchline, you intimidating someone. You have no range.
Get a writer to partner with Get stand-up act with o without heels don’t blame others. And hit the road. David Spade McDonald Miller and a few others made a living doing it. But caution they were funny.
Victimology is not funny, not anymore. And maybe you aren’t How about a few commercials where you smile and be nice to kids.
Go to school and get another career and stop whining.
