According to a recent Wall Street Journal poll, the four prosecutions bedeviling former President Donald Trump are deemed illegitimate by a plurality of the country. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is heading towards an impeachment inquiry targeting President Joe Biden — which will likely be deemed equally suspect by a separate plurality of the nation.
Trump’s and Biden’s legal challenges, symptoms of the country’s broader struggle with extreme partisanship, are mirror images in that each candidate’s supporters embrace the rule of law in one case while railing against its misuse in the other. It all has the feel of a holy war, where compromise is impossible, and normalcy is subordinated to each opposing side’s perceived truth and higher purpose.

“The Hill is looking for a way to stop the inevitability of a Trump 24 presidency.”
I disagree. The Hill is looking for a way to get clicks on their site, so they post something interesting.
It’s interesting because it’s absolutely crazy, but it IS interesting. Notice how many comments it’s drawn in this thread. From The Hill’s point of view, Mission Accomplished.
As for the deal itself, neither Trump nor Biden would even consider agreeing to it.
Really. Do shut up if you can’t keep a civil tongue in your mouth. Personal attacks aren’t allowed on this forum
Not bad.
I think that the flip side is also true and exposes the true intentions of the Democrats. If Trump were to offer to drop out of the race today in return for all prosecutions past, current and future related to his time in the White House, the Democrats would stampede over themselves to take that deal.
I have to believe that for all the built-in election ballot-laundering, and all the campaign finance corruption, and all the mail-in voting laws on their side, the Democrats are terrified of a second trump term. In addition to reversing their disastrous policies, it really would be the Revenge Tour for Trump. He wouldn’t just give the Democrats a mere taste of their own medicine, trump would go full-Mengele on them. And although it would delay the solution of the real serious problems in our society, it would be hilarious to watch.
I’m behind you all the way.
WHY would Trump & the COUNTRY benefit from such a plan???BIDEN’s corruption goes back YEARS & YEARS & YEARS and has MANY TENTACLES.
Trump’s indictments are as phony as can be.
IT has ALL been a VENDETTA by Biden & Obama & others who also have had their hands in the cookie jars.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE a SAFE & FRAUD-FREE ELECTION WILL EVER be held again in the USA if this path is followed. The Dems cannot be trusted to any extent.
THEY already broke the rules about Natural Born Citizens in the Oval Office-—Howard Dean & Pelosi did that & the scourge of Obama & Jarrett is still clinging.
The MILLIONS of ILLEGAL INVADERS IS GOING TO BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR YEARS IF NOT TURNED AROUND NOW....or by getting TRUMP back into power.
THEY THINK THAT-—BUT HOW WILL THEY ACTUALLY VOTE?????
No deal with lawfare terrorists.
The only beneficiary would be Biden because he is the only one that would be excused from actual wrong doing.
On the other hand they can always make up new fake charges against Trump since they are not constrained by him actually having to do something wrong. So what benefit does Trump have from them dropping the current fake ones?
Absolutely NOT!
It’s a farce to compare the two men’s situations as if morally equivalent.
Biden has committed high crimes from public office. Trump has done things
he was legally and politically authorized to do.
Trump is being charged to rinder him incapable of running for office. Biden is not being charged to make it possible for him to run.
They are trying to smear Trump, as if the two were both evil. No sale!
Check
No deal to cut
Biden Marxist
Trump Not he’s pro America has a record to prove it.
