Trump delivered remarks on securing the border and stopping illegal immigration in the country.
“One of the most important issues in this campaign is ending the nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border,” Trump’s prepared remarks read.
“Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in U.S. history. Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world,” they continue, deeming the current immigration crisis as an “invasion.” With that, Trump will identify himself as the “only candidate in this race who will stop it cold on DAY ONE.”
“A vote for President Trump means Joe Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025,” the remarks read, as Trump touts how he did more to secure the border in his first term than “any president in history.”
“Upon my inauguration, I will immediately terminate every Open Borders policy of the Biden administration,” Trump continues, adding, “Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History.”
Trump has long channeled former President Dwight Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback,” even prior to becoming the GOP nominee as part of the 2016 presidential election.
“People liked him. I liked Ike. [That’s the] expression. ‘I Like Ike.’ Moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border: They came back. Moved them again, beyond the border: They came back. Then moved them way south. They never came back,” Trump said in November 2015.

Who deported more illegals, Obama or Trump? Hint: Both of them did a terrible job. Only come election time did Trump even decide to get back tough (talk wise) on deportations...
Here is a simple graph.

Yep and I would posit the primary reason for high auto insurance rates is due to the massive amount of illegals driving on our roadways.
The FIB will be OUT IN FORCE to ensure NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH EXPOSING THE FRAUD.
I am inclined to agree with you, and I admit Trump is often a lot of hot air and a bit of a carnival barker, but right now no one is even talking about this and if such talk even slows the mass illegal immigration its worth it.
Not hyperbole, this country is being destroyed - destroyed - by this mass illegal immigration. I still just am incapable of wrapping my head around how everyone of the elites is willingly allowing this to happen — willingly.
The only way to possibly do this is to first and foremost change the law, otherwise you are just blowing smoke.
With half of the republican party wanting those people and all of the democrat people wanting them here, no change will ever be made.
Current law provides that all asylum seekers must get a hearing and cannot be barred entry.
“I do not think the general pubmic has the stomach to see it through...”
You must not be aware of the frustration nationwide with the illegals pouring in.
Eisenhower didn’t have to battle traitorous congress + executive branch + at least many judges not in SCOTUS. And I am not sure SCOTUS would be on his side.
“If the law supposes that,” said Mr. Bumble,… “the law is a ass—a idiot. If that’s the eye of the law, the law is a bachelor; and the worst I wish the law is that his eye may be opened by experience—by experience.”
- Charles Dickens.
In effect, judges have interpreted a law passed by congress to mean that the United States is now not a nation.
It will be too little and too late. There are already more illegals in the US than there are able bodied and intelligent men. Something like 50 Million and the babies keep on coming.
It probably will garner even more legal immigrant votes. Legal immigrants do not like the cheaters who walked in and did not wait in line to enter legally.
I mentioned Eisenhowers “Operation Wetback” on X and the post was segregated...nobody could see the hate.
“Most people who constantly say, “Let’s be realistic,” are really just living in fear, deathly afraid of being disappointed again. Out of that fear, they develop beliefs that cause them to hesitate, to not give their all—consequently they get limited results.”
I don’t know about that “most people”, but certainly ...that would describe some folks. But I think in my case, being a realist is the end result of observing the dire reality that we’re in... with constant defeats over the decades at the hands of the cheating, lying left.. and with constant evidence of the cowardice or complicity on the part of those that are supposed to be representing us... but are not.
As for living in fear, you’re damned right. Anyone that isn’t at least a little bit afraid of our future now is either a dumbed down, head-up-butt leftie... or is in complete denial and suffering from normalcy bias. The current state of the union is anything ‘but’ normal.
How do you define “giving your all”? What does that consist of? And by your own definition, have you given your all?
Your OPINION and what will really occur are WORLDS APART!
Will never happen. Period.

You are correct. I’m reminded of what happened to Arizona SB1070.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_SB_1070
It sent One MIllion Illegals out of Arizona. Before liberal black robed thugs ruled it unconstitutional.
Trump can (and should) talk about deportation. But judges and courts would shut it down. And that’s IF (big IF) such a bill made it past the House and Senate.
Trump built close to 500 miles of big beautiful wall. I’ll take the equivelant mumber of deportations.
Which might work if they counted only authentic, valid votes.
“Which might work if they counted only authentic, valid votes.”
No argument from me on that. Between illegals voting illegally and Dem operatives manufacturing ballots, we are so screwed.
“Donald Trump had better keep his promises if he wins re-election in 2024!”

Or what? What will happen? Nothing, because his cult will go on the frenzied denial and attack mode if he get’s any criticism. This is more of Donny Dumplin’s hyperbole. Just like “Lock her up” was.
Repeal the 1965 Hart-Celler Immigration Act.
Trump can do this... Eisenhower did and he called it Project Wet back... and it worked then and for years after. Trump can do the same.. well, not with that name...
