A Washington mayor called 911 to report a group of petition signature gatherers at Walmart and described them as "far right-wing" because she did not agree with their politics.
In the audio of the Sept. 3 call obtained by The Post Millennial, Yakima Mayor Janice Deccio said, "There’s some far-right-wing petitioners at Walmart, and they don’t — they’re not leaving. Walmart has asked them repeatedly to do so, and the police have not taken them off the premises."
The 911 dispatcher and a supervisor informed Deccio that the petitioners have a legal right to gather signatures on private property under Washington law and that the retail giant would need to get a court order to stop them.
The volunteers were gathering signatures over Labor Day weekend on six Washington ballot initiatives funded by Let’s Go Washington.

When asked by the Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI what made the signature gatherers "far-right" and why in the call she acknowledged that the situation was not an emergency but still dialed 911 and if she was even onsite at the Walmart, Deccio curtly replied, “Good morning Ari, Thank you for reaching out and for your concern. Have a great day.”
The signature gatherers also caught the attention of former Democrat candidate for Congress Doug White who posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Illegal petitioners outside west valley Walmart. They have been trying to get rid of them for a week but refuse to leave. Police and sheriff will do nothing. Sgt Shepard of the YPD states ‘it’s their constitutional right’. Do you agree? What will you do about it?”

What a Karen!
The leftists are always fascists.
911 calls should be life and death.
surprised they didnt call in antifa
The initiatives are being set out at the entrances of other Walmarts, Safeway’s, Albertsons, and other places all over western Washington. Yakima’s the only place I’ve heard of where there’s been a problem.
I do know that the government in Olympia does not like these initiatives.
911 is pretty much equated with surrender in this country.
Looks like Janice “Karen” Deccio had a bit of a meltdown when the conservative signature gatherers weren’t intimidated by her power trip. Calling 911, Karen? Really?
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Just another example of what happens when the left or muslims get in control.
So if someone calls 911 to report a fire or auto accident they are surrendering?
….
That’s next. They should have backup.
They sound like a genuine danger to democracy. I wonder why the National Guard wasn’t dispatched.
Not the 9-1-1 I was talking about.
She looks like one unhappy frustrated person. No smile lines in that face.
Freedom of Speech
Freedom to Assemble
The ONLY workable solution is long overdue...
Let’s see how many “”Karens””, male and female have heart attacks as Trump smashes all predictions and people come out in droves to vote for him.....
Deccio read her statement about the 911 call early in the meeting. She said she called 911 to ask police about people gathering signatures for statewide ballot measures outside the Nob Hill Boulevard Walmart after hearing from constituents who were concerned the signature gatherers were harassing shoppers. The group was seeking signatures for petitions dealing with taxation, police pursuit and parental rights.
Deccio’s statement noted that sharing the recording of the 911 call on social media, which included her personal cell phone number, has resulted in hundreds of phone calls, texts and voicemails from across the country.
To show the offensive and sexually harassing nature of some of the messages, Deccio played one she received Tuesday morning on her cell phone during the meeting. A man’s voice made a sexist remark about Deccio then used a vulgar term to insult her.
Drunk on a power trip.
Yes...totally inappropriate call to 911...she IS a KAREN
