According to the photograph with the article I’m not surprised that they had a hard time finding the F-35, when folks are given pictures of Polish Mig-29’s as the “missing aircraft.”
But no. The pilot lost track of the plane because of the weather. So ze - the Post has obviously misgendered zir here - ze landed on Terra Firma without the ability to tell where zir aircraft ended up. I'm only guessing earthward was the answer, but I'm not a pilot.
It gets worse. The Marines then hijacked a wrecker towing a '57 Chevy, tarped it up, and told the base commander it was fine, they'd recovered everything. "Oh really?" sez the CO, "I'm hearing an AM radio tuned to a country channel coming from that thing." Well, everybody knows Gen Z doesn't listen to Hank so the jig was up. The reporters, having been told that Trump was not to blame, were long since headed back to their Georgetown watering holes and there was a pissed off local with a shotgun at the main gate who was yelling that he wanted his Chevy back. The CO turns to the PAO and sez, "Son, yer on yer own."
Well, that's how it would have happened when I was in...
Total bs.
Crashed F-35s are our strength.
How hard is it to keep it in the doughnut and communicate?
I smell diversity diapers on this pilot.
Yea, yea, we know, the guards were asleep, and the cameras were magically turned off. Oh, it’s an F-35. Oh, OK then. Same kinda thing. It’s somewhere training Uranian pilots.
“Oh, wait!! I didn’t lose it. I’m still sitting in the cockpit inside the plane. Silly me.”
“He’s unsure of where his plane crashed, said he just lost it in the weather,”
== =
It is a stealth plane, right?
Pilot does not even know where it is, when it is between his legs.
So it was climate change, huh?
Not widely known is the F-35 is full of computers and electronics VERY VULNERABLE to lightning strikes which disable the planes controls.
This recent “mishap” was probably a loss of aircraft control due to lightning disabling the computers that keep the aircraft flying.
The pilot must eject if the airplane becomes uncontrollable.
This is because the aircraft is not made of traditional metals as were past fighter jets. It is made of composite materials. Those materials make the aircraft so stealthy, our own military cannot track it.
The Pentagon has ordered F-35’s not be operated around thunderstorms which, of course, are common throughout the world.
This “advanced” fighter jet can only fight a war in good weather.
This gives you a good idea how unprepared the “modern” U.S. military is to fight a war.
The U.S. military has become laughable and cannot protect the nation. What a disgrace.
The damn thing was hacked. Ejected the pilot and the hacker or the anti-hacking devices brought that plane down.
P
Well, the other jet didn’t have a malfunction. At least thats what the article suggested.
From military?
or hospital??
I’ll bet my hamburger stand that it’s a female pilot.
In an “all weather” fighter?
Has anyone checked to make sure Lockheed Martin didn’t install a placard on the panel that reads, “In case of bad weather. pull eject handle?” Would be a great way to ensure repeat business.
Maybe he simply forget to enable the “Find My Airplane” app before he took off.
