The FBI had so many paid informants at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that they lost track of the number and had to perform a later audit to determine exactly how many “Confidential Human Sources” run by different FBI field offices were present that day, a former assistant director of the bureau has told lawmakers.
At least one informant was communicating with his FBI handler as he entered the Capitol, according to Steven D’Antuono, formerly in charge of the bureau’s Washington field office.
D’Antuono has testified behind closed doors to the House Judiciary Committee that his office was aware before the riot that some of their informants would attend a “Stop the Steal” rally thrown by former President Donald Trump but he only learned after the fact that informants run by other field offices also were present, along with others who had participated of their own accord.
The Washington field office had to ask FBI headquarters “to do a poll or put out something to people saying w[ere] any CHSs involved,” he said, so they could get a handle on the scale of the FBI’s spying operations at the Capitol that day.
“We started getting responses back” from FBI headquarters, added D’Antuono, which helped identify which field offices had planted confidential informants in the crowd.
One paid informant from the Kansas City field office was at the Capitol as the crowd surged inside and allegedly was in communication with his FBI handler, “while they were in the crowd, I think, saying that they were going in,” according to the former bureau brass.
“They were trying to stop some of the action happening and they left or whatnot.”
Asked how many informants the audit discovered were in the crowd that day, D’Antuono would only say “a handful”.

Has the FIB lost count of all the Trump supporters at the Crapitol that day? Of course not.
So much for all those pesky FOAI laws. Half the records some may request are probably lost.
Aren’t FBI informants usually nothing more than people with criminal histories who in exchange for sentencing deals or reductions of charges on past crimes, agree to play roles for the government?
Very hard to distinguish true informants who are playing the role of an observer wearing a wire to catch leaders of groups in the act of plotting a crime... from role players whose job is to actually be the leaders doing the plotting, leading rather than observing others in a plot.

All 800,000 of them? Even the FIB is not omniscient. They just think they are, which will be their undoing.
The mountains look remarkably like Cyprus mountains, then. I guess because they’re small but reasonably high, and covered with pines.
There were not 2000 rioters. Maybe 2000 protesters. I covered enough demonstrations, protests and riots to know the difference. Apparently you haven’t and don’t.

Pelosi knows. She ran this show from start to finish.
The raid on Waco comes to mind.
At least the Gestapo was meticulous about record-keeping

Well that’s one mistake the national socialists aren’t repeating.

This is a pet peeve of mine.
It’s a criminal element with a blank check to do things mafia style and relieve the agency useing them of all accountability.
Brownshirts.
The number is in the hundreds.
The odds that the 'informants' would draw a weapon were low. The officer that shot Ashley was not an informant.
So what was this guy doing that required him to defend his 'exit' with a weapon?
That officer was one of Nancy Pelosi's 'men'. He was on guard in her office. She gave him a package that had been on her desk. She had him take the package and leave the building, and not let anything get in his way . She arranged transportation. She arranged his lodging at a special 'hotel' on a US Air Force Base. He went there and stayed there, protected by the Military. He stayed in the room and did not go out. He stayed sequestered until Nancy went to that hotel to visit him and pick up her package.
So... what was 'in' the package, or what 'was' the package ???? Why has the media and the government completely shut down any mention of the package? What was so important that the officer shot the first thing in his path and felt justified in doing so ??? (and was not even questioned).
Lost track of how many hired "Crisis Actors" breaking windows and rattling doors for the cameras ?
My best guess is that the quickly forgotten "Ashley Babbit" murder was theater also, sure looked fake anyway, I've seen better acting in old westerns.
....and since when do they get to kill a protester for the crime of climbing over a counter ! even the soldiers in Fallujah had stricter R.O.E.
At what quantitative point do informants present at an occurrence assume the role of actual participants or instigators? Information gathering wouid require a relative few to serve the purpose, I would think. If they lost count of the number, aren’t we looking at some other kind of assignment?
This makes no sense. If they had intel this was going to happen why did they not secure the buildings?
Who knew? When? What?
Entrapment?
What has been done to prevent repeat?
