Experts say growing community of illegal immigrants in Texas development invites cartel activity, is a national security
A Texas land developer has established a sprawling settlement north of Houston where thousands of illegal immigrants are believed to have settled, raising concerns among experts and elected officials that the development 400 miles in the interior of the United States could become a strategic asset for cartels.
Located in Liberty County, Texas near the small town of Plum Grove, the Colony Ridge development is a sprawling community that, based on an analysis of publicly available information, is now over 60 square miles and nearly the size of the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Its population is estimated to be anywhere between 50,000 to 75,000, and it is growing rapidly thanks to a marketing plan targeted at Texas’hispanic population

Are they asleep at the wheel in Texas?
Less regulations and enforcement cuts many ways.
Restrained by the Feds, remember? Only the Feds are now allowed to enforce immigration violations these days.
We’re shipping all the ones we legally can to New York and they’re why NYC and other liberal cities are suddenly screaming about the ‘migrant crisis’. The ones that don’t want to go... we can’t legally do anything about.
In contrast to “we should have picked our own cotton,” “ we should have mowed our own yards.”
” the development 400 miles in the interior of the United States could become a strategic asset for cartels.”
.
400 miles?
Plum Grove is 30 miles north of downtown Houston.
400 miles north of Houston is... Oklahoma.
.
400 miles from the border..... of Mexico.
Workable, affordable mowers have been around for more than two decades now, but people kept insisting on hiring humans (usually illegals and not the neighborhood kids) to do their lawns because they were perceived as cheaper. And don’t get me started on the idiot HOAs that banned robot mowers.
All cheap human labor does is delay the development and/or acceptance of automation at the cost of human lives and more.
Correction, “Workable, affordable *robot* mowers” should be the start of that last post.
An illegal alien mecca.
The cartels are already in our cities. They are running the mob smash and grab raids and the marijuana farms in the forests and national parks.
The busloads from Florida are only a drop in the bucket and give the mayors a target to cry about. They don’t dare to call out the Federal Government that is shipping in far more wetbacks to the secondary airports in these cities every night.
Gregg Abott is MIA. He could have utilized the Texas National Guard, but chose not to.
Saw a tweet that said this developer made a big donation to TX governor.
This seems like a Mexican town being built on US soil to me. reconquista
Well is this unexpected? Mexican nationals have been saying that they want Texas and California for over 40 years. Out loud and clearly.
Not a surprise
Colony Ridge: A colony of New North Mexico.
I thought it was becoming more difficult to get a mortgage. I guess that only applies to American citizens.
>> “ we should have mowed our own yards.”
More importantly, “WE SHOULD HAVE BUILT OUR OWN HOUSES”!
(We used to, as recently as the late 80’s/early 90’s.)
I roofed houses for two Texas summers to help pay for college. I ain’t seen an Anglo roofer in decades.
