Wild bear in Magic Kingdom forces multiple ride closures at Disney World

EW can confirm that Magic Kingdom cast members found a wild bear inside the park Monday morning, prompting the closure of at least 10 attractions inside the Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square areas.
According to the My Disney Experience app, affected rides and experiences included the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the train ride that circles the entire park and features a stop on the west end of the park

The Disney World theme park is located within a large chunk of mostly undeveloped Disney property that is almost twice the size of the island of Manhattan. Consisting of pine scrub forest and lakes, it provides a great home for bears and gators to roam freely and procreate.
A few years ago, a gator snatched and ate a toddler who was on the white sand beach at a Disney World hotel across the lake in front of the main park. It soon became publicly known that gators were a recognized menace to the guests but that Disney has done virtually nothing to protect them.
