I really get sick of arguing with pot heads. Go smoke yourselves into a schizophrenic coma. I don’t give a shit. But if you kill someone I love while you are high on dope or so drunk you can barely see, I’ll make it my lot in life to make yours as short and painful as possible.
True and I think marijuana ties into that more than other drugs. Young people suffering from mental illness find themselves on the fringe, and they soon learn from the others who cope with marijuana, because it's more acceptable than hard drugs.
People might be surprised at how young many marijuana users are due to the issues they're facing.
CBD isn’t psychoactive, so I’d say no.
I also wonder if these studies followed schizophrenics who use cannabis or people who have found to be schizophrenic after use with no family history, because they don’t say. That’s a huge difference. Of course you can find a link if schizophrenics use it to self-medicate.
Out of the probably... Twenty people I know who use cannabis regularly, none are schiophrenic or have major depressive disorders. The alcohol drinkers, however, have issues with depression. Some developed it, and some were worsened.

Cannabidiol does not cross the blood brain barrier. Tetra Hydro-Cannabinol... does cross it and is the cause of psychotropic effects of Marijuana/THC— with zero medicinal value despite all the hustle for “medical marijuana”.
Pure CBD derived from patented (Israeli owned) hemp plants (a kind of cannabis) genetically altered to produce 0% THC in the distillate— only CBD- is an important non-opioid pain reliever and a component of UK made agents for refractive seizures in children. As a pain reliever it has been ignored by Big Pharma because—there is NO buzz. Again it has no THC- and thus no risk for loss of employment from drug testing (another advantage) and no central nervous system side effects (which opioids do— big time and cause pilots for instance to be grounded).
Not talking about crappy CBD “so called” gummies and other over the counter bonanza marketed products that have THC in them and therefore worthless. Talking about pure, assayed CBD. Naterna is a major maker of liquid form for under the tongue administration. There are a few others that certify no THC content.
The linkage is genetic coding sensitive to THC, enhancing schizophrenic response to the chemical THC. The gene sequence is known and published. A lot of the work done in the UK. Marijuana/THC is not a benign agent.
