A Tecumseh, Ont., native who brought awareness to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by running a marathon while wearing a hospital gown is now dealing with the effects of long COVID.
Evan Ubene, who's set to graduate with a master's in chemical engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton, says last year he was also trying to highlight the need for proper personal protective equipment for health-care professionals.
Wearing the hospital gown ended up breaking a Guinness World Record at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

Exactly. On a side note this morning I read an article about Bob Odenkirk an actor, and it referenced him saying that he ignored his conservative doctor’s advice and ended up having a heart attack. So when I read the article Odenkirk actually tries to make it sound like he ignored his doctors push for statins and that’s why he had the heart attack in 2021. You can rest assured Odenkirk was more than fully vaccinated and ended up having a heart attack due to that and is trying to cover it up
I read about another college runner in 2020 who got long COVID before the shot came out. She was at the top of her game, putting in the miles, then she got long COVID from one of the earlier strains. Several months after first getting symptoms, she still had a hard time catching her breath after walking across the room.
As far as I know, long COVID is real. And no, I’m not going back to wearing a mask. Even with long COVID, do not be a sheep.
My daughter’s friend in her hiking group got covid, and has damaged her heart, so she no longer can walk more than 100 steps without sitting down to rest. He biggest regret is she had skipped the vax. Who is to know if vax would have prevented the damage, but that is her regret.
Masking also did not stop him from getting long covid.
How many boosters?
Anyone with half a brain knows that masks do nothing related to Covid. Even St. Fauci said so on 60 Minutes.

Could be, but I only hear anecdotal stories about it. Vaxx related illness is also anecdotal, but that is because nobody is willing to do a study on it, lest they don’t like the outcome.

I don’t know how much that would have avoided the problem. My stepmother is a faithful vaxxer, getting the original shots and all the boosters. But she still got a full-blown case of COVID early this year that lasted several weeks.
