My daughter’s friend in her hiking group got covid, and has damaged her heart, so she no longer can walk more than 100 steps without sitting down to rest. He biggest regret is she had skipped the vax. Who is to know if vax would have prevented the damage, but that is her regret.

I don’t know how much that would have avoided the problem. My stepmother is a faithful vaxxer, getting the original shots and all the boosters. But she still got a full-blown case of COVID early this year that lasted several weeks.
CoVID vaccines weren’t ready for a yr in her age group. She likely got CoVID during that time so the vaccine wouldn’t have saved her…simply because she’s t wasn’t available yet. 😖
