We have to wonder how the Speaker of the Texas House get re-elected to the Speaker post.

Probably involved the the old Bush charm, a couple of BBQs with liquor and some fringe benefits. They're in the house so they are probably cheap and easy. "I got a deal for you. Keep up the good work and we're gonna have to make you a Senator one of these days."

Remember, friends, nothing is ever settled until it is settled the way the left wants it settled.

Celebrate today, then back to total war tomorrow, because the other side is already planning its next Operation.

That he called it the NATION of Texas is interesting.

I wonder what these guys think about that phrase?

"Lt Gov Dan Patrick appropriately scolded the TX House and he is so correct."

"Scolded"?!? Patrick did more than that.

Do we have any Bushies defending this Biden persecution and other corrupt regime policies?

That is what they do. They tackle actual crimes as a side gig now - for continued congressional funding and PR purposes.

While I am sure Biden had a hand, were it not for drunk GOPe traitors in the house this would have gone nowhere.

I’m sure that’s correct. Anyway, whether it’s team Biden Bush Clinton Cheney Obama lawfare the press, they all coordinate and also side-skirmish where they choose.

I hope the next TX elections are fairly conducted so the voters can clean up some of this. But, like most places, too many of the federal and state districts are safe for the incumbents.

“If that is the only thing you heard today, you would believe that Paxton was convicted. Lt Gov Dan Patrick appropriately scolded the TX House and he is so correct.”

ABSOLUTELY. There’s a reason that Texas is always FOLLOWING other red states, rather than leading them when it comes to conservative priorities (like protecting little girls from mutilation by ‘doctors’), and that is due to the deep corruption of the Texas GOP.

In this case, it just BLOWS MY MIND that the Texas House GOP would Impeach a high-level Republican without having their ducks lined up in the State Senate, but that is what they did, and now they will pay, BIG TIME, for that stunt.

“We have to wonder how the Speaker of the Texas House get re-elected to the Speaker post.”

Here in Texas it’s the same system as the US House Speaker - meaning that ALL representatives get to vote on the Speaker, not just the majority party. So, for the past 3 decades or so, the Speaker has ALWAYS had full support of the Democrats and just needed a handful of Republicans to then take the post. In essence, the DEMOCRATS, despite being in the minority, controlled who was Speaker of the Texas House.

The Texas House RINO’s were hoping to appoint George P Bush as AG. They have had their panties in a wad since he lost to Paxton.
The Bushes are dead in Texas.
Phelan is the leader of the Texas Squad. Don’t know if his seat is safe in Galveston.

The republican reps who vote for him have to be asked to explain their votes.

The Texas House Republicans also voted overwhelmingly to impeach Paxton. I'm not informed enough about Texas politics to say just how these Republicans were swayed (by the Bush wing) to go after Paxton, but it seems that sway didn't carry over to the Senate Republicans.
