Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has called former President Donald Trump’s remark about not knowing who gave Dr. Anthony Fauci a presidential commendation “pathetic” and nothing more than “drivel.”
President Trump made the assertion on the Megyn Kelly Show and was quickly denounced on social media by supporters of Gov. DeSantis for the apparent lie that he espoused.
“I don’t know who gave him the commendation. I really don’t know who gave him the commendation. Someone probably handed him the commendation,” said President Trump.
DeSantis is so FOS, that it makes him look like a meatball.
Trump did this to not only himself, but Trump unleashed that little creep Fauci on the entire country. De Santis is 100 percent right and it hurts Trump fanatics so much that they refuse to even acknowledge it. They would rather shoot the messenger than blame a guy who was too busy tweeting about what Chris Cuomo said on TV at 1AM to bother with little details like what was in the CARES act or bothering to see what a sham Covid was. De Santis would never have signed the CARES act and Fauci would have never been on camera a single time if he were already President.
Ah, but Trump supporters cannot handle the truth.

Why would Trump want to distance himself from Fauci? He went on to say that he didn’t get enough credit for his covid response while president.

Your DeSantis came into the Frey because he figured they would have him out before election time. He could have stood with Trump and this would not have turned into a cat fight.
Trump is a patriot who has had the full weight of the government on him.. Unfairly so.
If DeSantis were in the seat and doing things the conservative way.. If he tried to drain the swamp.. He and his family would be under attack. He is young.. He is not seasoned to the point to handle all power and media... For a lifetime.

Just going by some comments we see on Free Republic, I do wonder.. For example, for Republican candidate debates, people here are saying there’s a cast of idiots up on that stage. Almost all of those people are probably going to be Republican leaders in the years ahead , even if they never become president.
I want to be wrong about this. I hope and pray some good strong conservative leaders will carry forward in the years ahead.
Fauci was the head of NIAID for NIH. It’s not like Trump picked him out of a large number of qualified candidates. Any President would have consulted him and had on the team. Nobody knew Fauci was a psychopath. Fauci was foisted on us long before Trump came along.
