Everyone ages 6 months and older should get the updated Covid vaccines this fall, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.
The move follows a vote from the CDC's advisory committee earlier in the day in favor of the recommendation.
"We have more tools than ever to prevent the worst outcomes from Covid-19," the CDC's director, Dr. Mandy Cohen, said in a media statement. "CDC is now recommending updated COVID-19 vaccination for everyone 6 months and older to better protect you and your loved ones."
The shots are expected to be available within the next 48 hours in some areas, the CDC said.

We are planning to go to Disneyland in a few months. We will all go get our updated Covid shots 1-2 weeks before going.
The reason for this time is that data shows that antibody levels reach their peak about one week after a booster.
In a crowded venue like Disneyland, we want maximum anti-Covid antibodies.
You’ve misunderstood what happened. They didn’t say the ORIGINAL formulation of Sudafed doesn’t work. They said the new formulation that has only been used recently (because they passed laws to make it hard to buy the original one) is the one that doesn’t work.
The original formula still works just fine. It’s the junk they tried to replace it with that is junk.

The FDA reviewed data that show that phenylephrine is ineffective for decongestion.
Another ingredient used as a decongestant is pseudoephedrine, and it is still available. You can buy Sudafed with that active ingredient today. There are other decongestants that retain FDA approval, as well.
Only phenylephrine has lost FDA approval.
No more shots for me. The CDC had lied to us before. Therefore, they have lost my trust.

Why would you want to refuse to get vaccinated and leave yourself exposed to Covid? If you don’t have co-morbidities before catching Covid, you are highly likely to develop them as a result of Covid. Ever hear of long Covid?
Covid actually decreases immune system function. So, if your system of protecting yourself from Covid is to catch Covid, just know that it’s not a great system. Besides, that kind of thinking is kind of weird.
Not a vax enthusiast because they are effective for too short a time.
There are NO Excess Deaths currently for the 0-64 age group. That’s compared to 2016-2019 adjusted for population growth and fentanyl. ZERO. None. The death counts for this age group are NORMAL, so all you vax panic types have no data. Excess Deaths is the gold standard and nobody who got vax (or didn’t get vax) in that age group is dying in unusual numbers. You can put all this crap to bed. It’s wrong. The numbers have proven all that bogus.
The data is public. You can do your own analysis. In fact, if you don’t, then you know nothing at all.
Current Covid death and case counts are a week or so delayed via funding reduction. The death count is about 75/day. That’s up a big % in recent weeks, but a big % from a small number (50ish a few weeks ago). This is not a big enough event to warrant more or less anything.
Now make no mistake here — if we start uncorking 1000s/day of deaths in a few weeks (as winter arrives), then this choice to make little of it now at the start will be slammed. But regardless, the numbers uptick is not yet big enough.
Note disease resistance from having been vaxed was fading at soon as 6 months in the past 3 years. And there is no reason to think past infection provided any resistance that lasted longer. So the whole population going into this winter has fading defenses.
How about screw yourself government.
So, you’re going to Disneyland to dance with all the LGBTQRSUV+y cartoon characters, and you’re getting your family inoculated with the latest experimental, Big Pharma concoction before the visit.
