On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Senate Majority Whip and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) responded to a question on the crime surge in Washington, D.C. and what can be done for crimes committed without a gun by stating that “it’s hard to put your finger on it for any given city.” And “Some of this is going to take addressing issues that are really deep-seated in terms of poverty and the way children are being raised,” Durbin also stated that he knows that lack of gun control is a part of the crime issue in Chicago.

I'm sure he picked himself up after that and tried to carry on as if he'd never said it. But everyone knows, and just got reminded: Welfare > loose morals > divorce or no marriage at all > no father in the home > deranged, criminal offspring.
So what is his plan to take guns away from criminals? Let me guess, he wants to make it harder for the law abiding to get guns and somehow that will eliminate the bad guys with guns.
His name certainly suits him.
In the past immigrants came to work...to do construction, landscaping, farm work, cleaning worker, cook in taco joint.
We are going the wrong direction if immigrants now come for welfare. We will long for the good old days when they come to work.
Law should prevent immigrants, both legal and illegal, from applying for, not just receiving, any kind of government welfare. This includes legal immigrants and naturalized citizens.
Big mistake to create another dependent class.
(This should not prevent private family and non-profit that receive no government money from helping immigrants.)

I’m in Winnebago County. It’s not considered a collar county, but I can tell you that some of that culture is here. Not only that, we have scammers at our intersections with signs that they need money for funerals, need money for a sick kid, you mane it. And they are largely Hispanic. I have seen them myself.
One thing the democrats are doing a marvelous job of is destroying this country.

Dick Durbin is the most obstinate and obdurate Luddite in the US Senate, hands down. He has learned nothing and forgotten nothing in all his years in “public service”, doubling down when CLEARLY in the wrong, as he did in regards to the first and second impeachments of Donald Trump, trying to cover up his actions by claiming there were “Constitutional grounds”. But in actual fact, Trump never did the things the articles of impeachment in either action implied he had. It was all mummery and chicanery, the whooping cry of fools run amok.
