Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula allegedly made a racist comment about Black players in the NFL, according to a racial discrimination lawsuit against the league filed Tuesday by longtime reporter Jim Trotter. Trotter alleges in the lawsuit that in 2020, a fellow NFL Media reporter recalled a conversation he had with Pegula, who was speaking to the reporter about the NFL's social justice initiatives and Black Lives Matter.
The reporter, who was not identified in the lawsuit, told Trotter and approximately 40 other NFL Media coworkers during a Zoom call that Pegula said, "If the Black players don't like it here, they should go back to Africa and see how bad it is." The lawsuit states that Trotter, who is Black, pressed executives at NFL Media to investigate Pegula's comments, which were "highly offensive and racist," but that he was "repeatedly brushed off and told that 'the league office is investigating it.'"
Pegula has denied making the comment. "The statement attributed to me in Mr. Trotter's complaint is absolutely false," Pegula said Tuesday in a statement. "I am horrified that anyone would connect me to an allegation of this kind. Racism has no place in our society and I am personally disgusted that my name is associated with this complaint."

Is he right though?
Black NFL players are multimillionaires and represent two-thirds of the league.
Why do they need to be in management and coaching?
What the Hell are they upset about?
“If the Black players don’t like it here, they should go back to Africa and see how bad it is.”
Put up or STFU.
I think there should be diversity involved with all that pay.
“Raciss comments”, Oh MY !!
i wonder how differently an African Football League would look from the NFL...
Canadian Football is similar, but a little bit different and the Baltimore Stallions dominated their first couple years in the league... as an American upstart.
Neither the victim nor even a witness, yet he sues?
In Africa, they could live like multi-billionaires.
Almost 70% of NFL and AFL players are black.
Tough. The man can think whatever he wants, and say same. As is said, I may not agree with what you say, but I’ll fight to the death for your right to say it. It’s time for certain ethnic groups to put away the cryin’ towels and join the real world.
Your “point” ?
Meanwhile, anyone seen Peg Pegula lately...?
Point is, what’s the problem? If those millionaire poutey girls don’t like it, yeah, go to Africa and see how they like living there on five bucks a month. They certainly don’t support their “brothers” there, it’s whitey who goes there with hospitals and infrastructure building.
Lawsuit against the NFL based on something he was told that someone said.
Ludicrous.
Still, I say ha ha.
I hope the NFL has to pay $1T.
No, but Jessica Pegula lost in the fourth round of the U.S. Open, falling to her friend and countrywoman Madison Keys in straight sets.
Good point. And we're supposed to believe Trump didn't have "standing".
“Racist” is overused today.
I believe she was at a practice saying hello during pre season.
They mentioned her while I was watching her daughter in Montreal.
So you can bring discrimination suits based on what someone told you someone else said without any other corroboration? Plus, how can the guy who claims he said it get to remain anonymous now? Seems like he would need to be named in the complaint.
Definitely “racist”.../s
Better yet, maybe he should have said “...they should go half-way back to Africa...”
Those mid-Atlantic sharks haven’t been fed, according to BLM, for almost 200 years...
