U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm embarked on a four-day road trip in an electric vehicle this summer and faced a few issues, including trouble locating chargers, long downtimes as batteries slowly refilled, and even having the police called on her.
Granholm drove from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Memphis, Tennessee, in an attempt to draw attention to the billions of dollars the White House is pouring into green energy and clean cars, according to a report by NPR.
The U.S. Secretary of Energy even made passionate town hall stops along the way, advocating for reshaping Americans’ lives by transitioning from gas-powered vehicles to electric.

I hate when that happens...
Add EVs to democrats and it’s even more of a disaster , they have no clue about EVs and no clue about guns ,LOL
Went to the EV Indy 500. It was really exciting except for the 4 hour pit stops.
Anyone want to bet she flew in a private jet to Charlotte and then back from Memphis?
It doesn’t say what kind of ev she was using. Tesla has it’s own proprietary network of chargers not only in the US but around the world. If you have another ev you have to use a hodgepodge of chargers which can as we see here be problematic. Not that the Tesla chargers are faultless either but I would rather try a road trip in a Tesla than any other ev.
I have just one comment. I like how reality strikes these people in the face. Bwahahahahahahahahaha
When the government worked for the people, instead of vice versa like today, that info would be readily available.
An EV-supporting dumb-dumb like her deserves every bad thing she gets!!!!
We saw a Tesla on the side of the road the other day. I can’t help but believe that it ran out of gas er I mean battery charge. 😏
They intend to force everyone but Regime insiders and elites off the road anyway, and end mass private vehicle ownership.
So having EV charging chaos is a feature, not a bug.
Blast from the past there.
They think it’s easy to charge an EV just like their smartphone ,LOL
620 miles is not a long road trip. Try 1500 or 2500.
Less than 1% of the 250 million cars, SUVs and light-duty trucks on the road in the United States are electric.
-Rueters
Still can find enough open chargers.
ROFLOL
Why is the Secretary of Energy doing something the Secretary of Transportation should have tried or maybe they should done it together ,LOL
You can’t put too much virtual signaling stupidity in one vehicle. You do then really bad things happen.
Last summer I got stuck on the freeway due to an accident for about 2 hours. It was in the 100s. I sat comfortably with my Diesel engine idling with the AC blasting out cold air. Once traffic moved again there were dozens of Teslas people had to push off the side of the road with dead batteries.
Thugs are going to sabotage those chargers just for the heck of it.
