Campaign finance documents found an unsurprising connection between Liberty Safe’s parent company and the Democratic Party in an attempt to restrict American’s Second Amendment rights.
Monomoy Capital Partners, which purchased Liberty Safe in 2021, has contributed more almost half a million dollars to prominent Democrats such as Senators Raphael Warnock (D-GA), John Fetterman (D-PA), and Mark Kelly (D-AZ).
All of the donations made by the company total over $400,000 to the party that seeks to limit firearms.
Liberty Safe is the gun safe company that cooperated with the FBI and recently turned over a private, secure passcode used by a January 6 protestor to agents who later raided his home.
In addition, the company’s current CEO, Justin Hillenbrand, personally donated $4,600 to Former President Barack Obama’s campaign.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk highlighted how little the company values its customers.
“And we’re supposed to be surprised they betrayed their customers to the FBI as quickly as humanly possible?” Kirk tweeted.

Liberty Safe is safe from having me as a customer.
Fort Knox safes better not have this same policy.
Did that mean the users combination for the electronic combination or is the safe tied to the internet that can be accessed and opened by phone?
WHO do they think their customers are????
I wouldn’t be buying a safe to store makeup or coffee.
.
Well, if NVenergy can cut off my electric or gas that way, I assume anything linked to the I-net is at risk. If OnStar can unlock your car, they can likely disable it.
Liberty Safe again...
Boycott them into oblivion!
Of course they do. Nothing drives gun sales like liberals.
I’ve got to start letting my friends know to stay away from Liberty Liberty Liberty safes. Buy somebody else’s safe to keep your baseball cards in.
We are building a house on my wife’s farm. I can guarantee there won’t be a Liberty safe in there.
I’m guessing that they’re hoping for more “safe storage” mandates.
The electronic locks have a second combo, kept on file by Liberty. When a buyer purchases a safe and changes the default combo, he wrongly assumes that his is the ONLY combo. LEO can call Liberty to get the "manufacturer combo" to access the safe.
But the warrants being presented to Liberty DO NOT apply to Liberty, and Liberty should NOT be providing the combo unless LEO presents a warrant that requires Liberty to provide access. Even then, they should fight in court being forced to betray their customers.
This "manufacturer combo" is a feature of the SECURAM lock that Liberty and many other safes use. Buyers should have the option of changing this combo, with the understanding that if they forget their own combo, it will require a locksmith to open their safe.
