MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's Supreme Court decriminalized abortion nationwide Wednesday, two years after ruling that abortion was not a crime in one northern state.
That earlier ruling had set off a grinding process of decriminalizing abortion state by state. Last week, the central state of Aguascalientes became the 12th state to decriminalize the procedure. Judges in states that still criminalize abortion will have to take account of the top court's ruling.
The court's sweeping decision Wednesday comes amid a trend in Latin America of loosening restrictions on abortion, even as access has been limited in parts of the United States.
So all those wonderful, Mexican Catholic families are nothing but a bunch of baby killers too, huh?
Time to reset the timer on your phone. Mexico will SOON ENOUGH have a government that no longer supports killing babies and, to punish them, we will no longer be friends.
Hello Russia and China!!! At that point we’ll FINALLY learn just what Russia thinks regarding having a hostile Ukraine at their doorstep means.
Next comes the law stating you can only have one kid. Then, comes the law where they will need the government’s permission to have a kid. Then they all haul ass to America and have “anchor babies”.
That will increase border crossing.
Increase crossings from Texas to Mexico.
The thing is... religion has no power anymore, unfortunately.
Religions were great in preserving a minimum of morality and common sense for many. But, politicians have taken over that task... and we see what it does to our society...
That being said, we don’t want a religious Taliban society either. That is hell on earth.
A working society would need a mix of secular polices in certain areas, and religious influence in other areas. Teamwork!
Religion not only helps people keeping faith, but its also serves as a link preserving our history, traditions and values.
It worked when most people never ventured more than 50 miles from where they were born their whole lives, and they were only exposed to whatever religion was prevalent in the area.
Yep!
The Morena party stacked the courts.
Vladimir Putin Is a Pro-Choice Champion.

“Russia : WORLD’S NUMBER ONE IN ABORTION !”
Why do you PURPOSELY LIE to other FReepers here? Are you paid to do so, or do you just hate us?
Anyway, how about posting something a bit more current than 2004, when Putin was barely in office?
Like when America was being settled over the centuries?
Once people settled, they tended to only associate with their kind.
Didi you read the other link, explaining Putin is prochoice?
“Didi you read the other link, explaining Putin is prochoice?”
Why do you KNOWINGLY POST data from 20 years ago? I’ve told you guys numerous times that your are LYING to people on this site when you post 20 year old statistics.
You may want the Neocons to get World War 3 started in Ukraine (I guess), that is your issue, but how about NOT LYING to people here?
It is always good to side with innocent life, even as God does. No court can establish and uphold innocent bloodshed without consequence or accountability before God.
There sure are alot of humans that like to murder babies.
What a sad world we live in.
America was pretty mobile for centuries and our religion held up well, I don’t get your opinion on religion at all.
I am talking up to the point where personal transporation and airflight became ubiquitous, that’s when things started to change. And then add in television, and internet and now people all exposed to all of the different religions, philosophies, etc. that most people simply weren’t exposed to a hundred years ago.
