Reports of “monkey dust” coming in from former industrial towns across the United Kingdom have residents terrified.
Drug-crazed addicts eating shards of glass. People jumping off tall buildings. Superhuman “Hulks” overpowering police.
These are allegedly the results of people high on “monkey dust,” a synthetic drug with effects similar to amphetamines that have become a scourge of small-town Britain.
“I got into dust, monkey dust, lost everything, and now I’m on the floor,” said one addict, formerly employed as a plumber but now living in a tent.
“I’m still taking dust. It’s all we do all day, rush around, try … to get hold of dust, because it’s so addictive,” he said, as quoted in the Evening StandaMonkey dust — also referred to as “zombie dust” — is a synthetic cathinone, a stimulant with effects similar to amphetamine or bath salts, speeding up messages between the brain and the body.
The purest form of the drug is a chemical compound known as methylenedioxypyrovalerone, but because monkey dust is cooked up in illegal labs, there’s no way of knowing what other drugs or impurities it might contain.rd.

Let Darwin rule the day.
Other than the press needing a new drug to sensationalize, this sounds just like PCP, bath salts, meth, crack, fentanyl . . . . .
Sadly, yes. Some people dont want to be helped.
Addiction. Hard to relate to when they’re so addicted they never wash or eat, just get ripped on monkey dust all day. Get your damn life together and take a damn shower.
The problem is that even the strongest people can have weak moments. That’s why I prefer Singapore’s approach.
What happened to that Gator or Croc stuff that melted people’s limbs off from a few years ago? Is this the new version of injecting that gasoline drug? Yuck.
“Spice” is also a big problem in the UK. Makes people catatonic.
That’s true. Disconnection from self-restraint and pain while creating an illusion of power and invincibility.
When they come at police the officers have to worry about getting killed or maimed but also about review boards and civil trials with leftist groups paying for swaggering attorneys and paid off judges.
Weed out the weak.

It is bath salts:
“In the USA, products containing MDPV and labeled as bath salts were sold as recreational drugs in gas stations, similar to the marketing for Spice and K2 as incense, until it was banned in 2011.”

Which one? Scary Spice?
Too much monkey business for me to be involved in.
China giving the Brits a taste of their own medicine after the Opium Wars.
Exactly and hopefully narcan won’t work.
At least the name today is ever so slightly more accurate.
Meanwhile, speaking of narcan, there's the revolting development that a nasal spray OTC version is now available. I couldn't believe it over the weekend when I saw an ad for it while I was streaming Hunter Killer on Plex.
