Los Angeles City Council leaders filed two separate motions on Wednesday pushing for legal action against Texas and Gov. Greg Abbott over the busing of migrants to the region.
A total of 11 buses carrying asylum seekers have arrived in L.A. since June, with the latest getting to Union Station on Wednesday. The last bus carried 35 asylum seekers from Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Venezuela and even Russia.
The council members voted unanimously on both motions, with one calling for a probe investigating whether Abbott’s actions violated any criminal laws, like kidnapping and human trafficking. Some council leaders argue many families traveled on lengthy bus rides with little or no food and water.
“The message is clear that the city of Los Angeles will not accept this kind of behavior,” Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez said. “The governors are doing this for political points and that’s unacceptable. You cannot be playing with people’s lives in that way, and so if they did something unlawful, we want to make sure that we uncover it and we take any proper steps.”
In response, Abbott’s spokesperson slammed council leaders, calling them hypocrites after the council recently voted to have Los Angeles become a sanctuary city, tightening policies involving the use of city resources for federal immigration enforcement.
Every individual who arrived her in L.A. did so voluntarily, and buses had ample food and water, Abbott’s office indicated.
The sanctuary city label is why Abbott began sending migrants to L.A.

Los Angeles is a sanctuary city. To the contrary, the message is very clear that illegal immigrants are welcome in Los Angeles. I’m not sure what the counselor so sad about they should be happy that Texas is helping them out with their dreams.
Of course, the L.A. City Council will support Governor Newsome for President. He will not change a damn thing.
Hilarious watching these hypocrite lefties going NIMBY to the illegals that Abbott is sending their way. LA has always been proud to be a sanctuary city. Abbott is just making them live up to their promises.

If the migrants are NOT being forced onto the buses, but load voluntarily, LA can go pound sand.
It is good that blue cities are finding major problems dealing with migrants [a.k.a., illegals]. Being sanctuary cities are nice until they become overrun with migrants they welcome by being sanctuary cities.
Also if the migrants have a choice they will choose a city that has pledged to take care of them and not cooperate with deportation agents.
They should file the lawsuit against the border patrol for ushering in illegals and terrorists.

The LA gangs are upset that outside competitive gang members are being dropped in their territories.

The pukes are supposed to be running a sanctuary. Most of these illegal asylum people want to be Dodger fans not Rangers fans. Stop your whining and do the sanctuary stuff. It’s your strength and life enrichment. Plus, you can get your lawn done cheap.
The political leach proclaimed they are a “sanctuary city” and is shocked to find out there actually are illegal aliens with their hand stuck out for the “sanctuary city” money.
