PEORIA (25News Now) - Six people were taken to the hospital Wednesday night - five with gunshot wounds and the sixth suffering a laceration.
An adult man and a juvenile boy are in critical condition, according to police. The other victims are an adult man and three juvenile boys.
Wednesday night’s mass shooting comes after four shootings in four days - leaving two people dead and a 17-year-old charged in one of the killings.
Thursday morning, one person was shot and killed on West Antionette - identified by the coroner as 23-year-old Billy Chaplin of West Wiswall Street.

A statement from district spokesperson Haleemah Na’Allah says Peoria, Manual, Richwoods, Rewyn, Annie Jo Gordon and Elise Ford Allen are impacted.
Peoria Police have responded to multiple shootings Thursday morning and a mass shooting Wednesday night.
The Peoria Federation of Teachers says that Peoria is “out of control” in a statement on Facebook.

Words from the Peoria Federation of Teachers as Peoria deals with two shootings Thursday morning that left one person dead and a mass shooting Wednesday night.
The union is urging city leaders to declare a state of emergency and seek help in stopping the shooting and killing.
“As I write this, I am getting texts about yet another shooting,” the union wrote. “Is this not an emergency? Declare it so and intervene. Nothing currently happening is making a dent. We need someone to step up and take control.”
