A leader of the far-right Proud Boys has been sentenced to 17 years in prison, one of the longest sentences yet handed out over the US Capitol riot.
Prosecutors said US Army veteran Joe Biggs, 38, was an "instigator" of the storming of Congress on 6 January 2021.
The former Infowars correspondent was convicted of seditious conspiracy and other charges in May.
In court, Biggs pleaded for leniency and expressed remorse for his actions.

meanwhile BLM rioters who burned downtowns all over America are actually getting PAID because the police were to ruff with them!
Our justice system is rigged
He should have killed a few folks. His sentence would have been half that.
Jeez.... I wonder what Ray Epps will receive
They're sending a message.
The damn Democrats, including the Official Pedophile of the United States of America were the real INSTIGATORS of the Operation Juliet Victor India U.S. Government field exercise.
They sure are. Member of Antifa or street gang? No bail needed, and no charges.
Member of Proud Boys? 17 years starting on day 1.
Only a matter of time until we conservatives are just lined up against a wall and shot by the feds.
Trump judge
No kidding, and the time to prepare for that is now. But how?
CW II is coming. Pick a side.
Start focusing on the beginning of the film V for Vendetta
From day one this was all set-up/by design and partially staged.
He’s just a victim in a political purge.
1. Him and two others could have been a pain in Biden’s ass but our Stasi/gestapo DOJ made sure he and the leaders of two other grass roots organizations are removed.
2. By calling this “sedition” they are trying to set the stage to disqualify Trump as a candidate - something folks are begining to realize now. That was the plan from day one and why folks like Pelosi, Shumer, HRC, etc. kept using that term repeatedly almost immediately after J6.
In the bigger picture:
They also de-legitimized those who question the elections and intimidate thousands who form the most fervent base when having law enforcement interview them, even those who never entered the capital (unprecedented). It’s intimidating to have law enforcement come knocking.
Was J6 in any way extraordinary? No. We have far bigger protests; more violent ones, more destructive protests that involve entering federal buildings, and where they actually declare an autonomous zone (closer to the idea of sedition), example: Portland, Seattle...
***The use of certain terms and making this into sedition is a political maneuver to get to Trump, and that means this guy needs to be sacrificed on the political alter.***
Remind me again how much jail time Ray Epps was given?
Even more analogous, the protestors occupied the Capitol to stop a Supreme Court appointment. The Supreme Court Judicial Branch of government is co-equal to the Executive Branch. These actions in 2018 were just as seditious as anything they claim for 2021.
Yet no prison at all for the Kavanaugh protestors trying to overturn a Supreme Court appointment.

They're sending a message.
Yep. "The next time it will be YOU."
Coming? It’s here. It’s been a Cold Civil war for a long time.
Good movie.
They will all be getting out soon.
There's much wrong here. Gavin McInnes. Vice magazine. Richard Spencer.
I said it before. Spencer is a government asset. Everything he was in involved with from Charlottesville to the "Roman Salute" to the fight in New York to Jan 6 has gone south and he walked away.
