Proud Boy Joe Biggs receives 17 years in Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy case

WASHINGTON — Joe Biggs, a Proud Boys leader convicted of seditious conspiracy who the government says "served as an instigator and leader" during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, was sentenced to 17 years in federal prison on Thursday.

It is among the longest sentences in Capitol riot cases. The record is the 18-year sentence given to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, also convicted of seditious conspiracy, after prosecutors sought 25 years in federal prison in his case.

The government sought 33 years for Biggs, an Army veteran who sustained a head injury in Iraq and then served as a correspondent for the conspiracy website Infowars. Prosecutors argued that he was a “vocal leader and influential proponent of the group’s shift toward political violence” and used his “outsized public profile” and his military experience as he “led a revolt against the government in an effort to stop the peaceful transfer of power.”

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly handed down Biggs' sentence. He ruled earlier in Thursday's hearing that Biggs’ tearing down of a fence that stood between police and rioters qualified him for a terrorism sentencing enhancement sought by prosecutors. Destroying the fence was a “deliberate, meaningful step” that contributed to the disruption of the electoral vote count occurring in the Capitol, Kelly said.

Biggs was convicted in May of seditious conspiracy; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding; conspiracy to use force, intimidation or threats to prevent officers of the U.S. from discharging their duties; interference with law enforcement during civil disorder; and destruction of government property.

Another innocent who could have been shielded by Trump

Who's going to shield Trump from charges he's facing, or maybe you think he violated the law?

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly, another East Coast lawyer DC pussy who never spent a day in uniform pontificating as to how Biggs was using his massive military experience to overthrow the government. You know, because of all the countries that Biggs organized coups in.

The judge is a coward and a liar. And he is a knowing participant in the big lie, the 2020 coup.

The exact charge was “destroying a fence while not being ANTIFA or other Democrat terror group.”

The Dems are reviving a whole bunch of criminal charges — like seditious conspiracy — that could be brought against the BLM movement. And election-related charges that could be brought against some of the big-city Dem machines.

This guy gets 17 years yet there’s zero enthusiasm to pursue those guys. Funny how that works.

“Another innocent who could have been shielded by Trump on the way out the door, but he had other priorities on his mind.”

No, he could not. Face facts. Trump was deposed on January 7th by a stealth 25th and was no longer in charge. Milley, Pelosi, McConnell and Pence were the leaders. Milley was coordinating with China, took power over the nuclear arsenal and only accepted orders from Pelosi. He further said that all orders for military movements had to be approved BY HIM. This is documented.
Trump’s cabinet quit en masse’. The conspirators “seized the radio and TV stations” with a media blitz and with all social media blacking him out.
Two divisions of soldiers were pushed into DC for martial law and it wasn’t Trump who ordered them in.

The reality? Trump was told shut up and you can leave on the 20th. Resist and you will be removed from office the next day with a public 25th. And if you force that, you will be arrested along with your kids.
They allowed him to make a few minor pardons that mattered to nobody.

On the late afternoon of January 6th, Trump was no longer in command of anything outside the distance of his voice. The DOJ ignored him, DOD ignored him, even the GOP leadership and his own vice president cut him out of everything.

This is how western nations conduct a violent coup. Stay in the white house and leave as scheduled in two weeks, or we will arrest you and you kids and immediately remove you. Very refined.

“In the old USSR a 10 year sentence was the maximum.”

Only techically. It was standard practice to resentence someone almost automatically to another consecutive 10 years at the end of the sentence, especially for political prisoners.

Always a good thing to remember to point out to the slowpokes who still dream the military “might be on our side” in any coming domestic conflict.

And the reality is, all the Judicial appointments were from McConnell’s (GOPe) list.
McConnell gave Trump a list he could choose from. That is a fact. McConnell the closet homo went into recess for Obama in 2015 and 2016. But for Trump he stayed in Pro Forma session the entire four years. This is so Trump could not make recess appointments.

Trump had probably 33% of the power that a president normally possesses, especially when his party holds the Senate and House.

Once the election of 2020 is proven to be the result of fraud many people in prison will be released and those guilty will take their place.
Yea, I know. Wishful thinking.
