How the Trump Indictments Destroy the Constitution
American Thinker ^ | 08/31/2023 | Don Brown

Perhaps the greatest danger emerging from the maniacal prosecutions against President Trump involves the left's all-out war against Trump's lawyers, which marks a broader constitutional threat to all Americans.

In the Mar-a-Lago documents prosecution, former Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran, "according to multiple sources," took copious notes of his conversation with Trump. Then, going full-blown Judas Iscariot, he betrayed Trum by surrendering confidential notes to Jack Smith's power-hungry little prosecutors. The New York Times, on June 11, wrote "Trump Indictment Shows Critical Evidence Came From One of His Own Lawyers," adding, "M. Evan Corcoran, who was hired to represent the former president after the Justice Department issued a subpoena for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, could be a key witness in the trial."

"Mr. Corcoran's notes," the Times continues, "first recorded into an iPhone and then transcribed on paper, essentially gave prosecutors a road map to building their case."

So Trump hires Corcoran, entrusting him with confidential conversations. But then Corcoran flips against Trump, becoming a "road map" for prosecutors in "building their case."

Smith's sixty-page superseding indictment reveals three unnamed former "Trump Attorneys," Trump Attorneys 1 (Corcoran), 2, and 3, whom Smith plans to rely on at trial.

Thus, Smith takes a hot blowtorch to the attorney-client privilege, pitting lawyers against clients.

As to the lawyers' backstabbing their client, somewhere beyond the gates of hell, Brutus, Fuchs, Alcibiades, the Rosenbergs, and Benedict Arnold, history's most notorious traitors, pop open the champagne, as DOJ flips these turncoat-lawyer-clowns like pancakes on a scorching hot griddle.

But Smith didn't stop in Florida.

In his "January 6" indictment against Trump, Smith names five "unindicted co-conspirators," former Trump attorneys John Eastman, Rudy Guliani, Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jeffrey Clark, a former DOJ attorney.

All five attorneys knew that Trump believed that the election was stolen.

By calling them "unindicted co-conspirators," Smith blasts a loud message through a bullhorn: "Shut your mouth, or I might charge you, too," pressuring these lawyers to plead the Fifth, to keep them off the stand in Trump's defense, which is Smith's plan.

Then Democrat-commie prosecutor Fani Willis indicts Giuliani, Eastman, Chesebro, Powell, Ray Smith, and Jenna Ellis, all attorneys who either represented or worked for Trump.

By indicting these lawyers, Willis will squeeze them as hard as possible to turn them against their client, Trump, thus securing her induction into the commie prosecutors hall of fame.

Following the Georgia indictments, President Trump said, "In the end, they're not coming after me. They're coming after you — and I'm just standing in their way."

It’s clear the Dims are using this to discourage any lawyers from ever working for the Trumps again. They will stoop to any level to destroy their opponents because now they know full well this is a fight to the finish. Either they win or they are destroyed.

Can’t Pres Trump bar them from testifying? Isn’t that the same with spousal privilege and the privileges between doctors and priests? I thought that there were laws that prevented them from testifying, unless there was a violent felony at issue.

Trump as President and since has been really bad at picking people to work for him. Why that is needs serious study and consideration.

My only theory is that Trump is too easily subject to flattery and mistakes it for the other person being of a like mind with him when they are not. But that is just a guess.

Meanwhile, Garfinkel has some Mexican anchor baby from San Leandro write a nastygram to Jordan saying he can’t talk to DoJ lawyers...without DoJ lawyers present. You know, for Counsel.

Something that Garfinkel and his buddy Mad Jack doesn’t think Trump deserves.

“Can’t Pres Trump bar them from testifying?”

No, that’s not how it works. Only the person who is asked to testify can decide whether to assert their privilege.

If a wife WANTS to testify against a husband, the husband can’t stop her. If a lawyer WANTS to testify against a client, the client can’t stop him.

They’ll be the one that pays the price if the courts decide to try to punish them for asserting their privilege, so it has to be their choice whether they want to assert it or not.

The attorneys were flipped by Smith threatening to prosecute them as part of a conspiracy.

Smith had Beryl Howell on his side in this; she agreed to let him destroy attorney client privilege.

Howell has completely re-written American law in the Jan 6th cases, totally un-constitutionally and imperiously. The other judges on the DC Circuit are actually nervous being around her: she’s obviously off the deep end.

Both the House Judiciary committee and the Chief Justice can step in here and try to repair what’s left of Constitutional law or throw in the towel and let Merrick Garland and Jack Smith rule the country by calling every attempt at self defense a crime itself.

As intended.

If the leftists can break it enough, they can claim that a new one is needed — and they are more than willing to provide the contents — adjusted toward their perpetual power.

How many times have they decried the Electoral College, for example? Or have called for presidents to be elected by a national popular vote? Or want to limit the First Amendment — and the Second?

One could make the case that some of these lawyers, like too many of Pres Trump’s Cabinet picks, showed up saying all the right things, only to have a plan to undermine him at every turn.

So the stupid Trump lawyers were weak and even though Smith’s case is weak allowed themselves to be flipped. Again, Trump makes bad choices. A lawyer who believes in their client and their clients case cannot so easily be flipped.

The Constitution of the US and those of the various states are pesky things.

They are going nowhere.

They are not at risk of being destroyed.

But if you read any of the above, you can see that our vain and frivolous ruling society of elites, and the boneheaded unwashed who imitate them, are simply IGNORING our various constitutions and laws, so that the former might accrete wealth and power, and that the latter might descend ever lower into a muck of feculent fecklessness that they call their 'lifestyles'.

All of the above wrongdoers are abetted by corrupt, wretched judges, prosecutors, legislators, and lawyers in general who ignore both the constitutions and the common federal and state laws.

They do this either because they receive bribes in any number of forms, OR, because they believe as idealogues in some kind of quasi-Marxist philosophy (consisting of all manner of sin: resentment of accomplished persons, laziness made virtue, reckless debt accumulation, envy as sacrament, concupiscence and perversion as recreation, racism, blaming of whites for the general difficulty of human life and daily work, covetousness and desire to expropriate wealth from others, etc.)

But one thing going in favor of us normals is that our opponents lack the industry and intelligence needed to rescind our laws and constitutions, plus, their hypocrisy and vanity cause them to pay lip service to the law, even as they violate it wholesale.

So our Constitution and laws will sustain us through this terrible period while we as Americans wander in the desert.

The coming Reform, or Great Awakening X or whatever, is on the way.

True but it goes further.
Trump will not be able to call them as witnesses for the defense, for they will surely be charged. Negating their opportunity to witness for the defense.
