In addition to being the home of newly famous country musician Oliver Anthony, the city of Farmville, Virginia, is also where Amish farmers Samuel and Katie Fisher have operated their food business, Golden Valley Farms, for years. But recently, the Fishers have run afoul of the law for “unlawfully possessing, selling, and/or transporting animals.” As a result, the state seized all of the Fishers’ fresh, locally raised meat and dumped it, so that it couldn’t be sold or used to feed the family.
Other stories on today’s show include: Republicans want to know what’s in the thousands of emails that Joe Biden sent under aliases; the sheriff investigating the racially motivated shooting in Florida tells activist reporters the truth about guns and race in America; and tribal police in Nevada lose their cool and make out-of-state environmental protesters cry.
In the second half of the show, Alex Newman discusses the 1983 shooting down of Korean Air Lines flight 007, which was carrying Georgia Congressman and John Birch Society Chairman Larry McDonald; and Christian Gomez interviews John Birch Society researcher Peter Rykowski about the return of mask and vaccine mandates and what can be done to oppose these controls.

But...but...PUTIN! Russia, Ooogedy-booogedy!
“But...but...PUTIN! Russia, Ooogedy-booogedy!”
Tell me about it. We have people here that ONLY post anti-Russian diatribes, while this crap happens here at home (although, I guess, not home to most of the Russia-haters)...and yet they seem PERFECTLY FINE with the US, that is as long as the Democrats can again steal the next election.
Ping
Exactly.
Is this the EPA giving property owners trouble about some rainwater or the sizes of chicken cages?
Farming is long term and hard work. What a shame to waste all that labor over a power struggle.
“We can destroy your farm and your income, so that makes us right!”
Selling food to customers without government permission.
In China it’s called “killing the chicken to scare the monkey”.
IOW it’s a message to the rest of America.
Just wasted the lives of those animals. No regard for the death of those animals needlessly. If you take a life you need to have a purpose for doing so. Not throwing it away like that.
I eat a lot of meat and to me that animal is disrespected if it is wasted like that.
In China it’s called “killing the chicken to scare the monkey”.
= = =
Mao said something like, Kill one monkey to scare the other nine.
Those Amish are always causing problems like this by being self-sufficient. Our nation was founded by people just like these Amish farmers. It makes us realize how much our system of government has changed since 1776, and how few people would take up arms to restore limited self-government.
If they have that little respect for the lives of cows and pigs and chickens, just imagine how little respect they have for the lives of smelly Walmart shoppers.
Why don’t they just get Govt. permission?
Is that a violation of their religion?
By the way, I’m throwing questions out as I learn.
But, I’m not expecting you to do a lot of research for me.
you brought up something I didn’t know.
I can look into it later.
All the laws are written so that only large corporations can sell food.
Competition is not allowed.
We just had three years of plandemic that bankrupted thousands of small businesses.
The big box stores, however, got even bigger.
Another plandemic is coming to finish the job.
Government is in the business of selling monopolies to big corporations, and big corporations are in the business of purchasing monopolies from government.
Stalin actually sold their food on the international market, while the farmers were starving.
“Just wasted the lives of those animals.”
First of all, this is Mother Government we’re talking about. ‘She doesn’t care. She doesn’t HAVE to.’ (Remember Ernestine from the Phone Company? Lily Tomlin, Lefty that she is, probably never saw the irony in the words she uttered for laughs.)
Secondly, I am 100% in your camp! No, 1,000%! We hunt, fish, raise our own beef, buy pork from the neighbor that raises hogs. I have a ridiculously huge Kitchen Garden and I can, can, can all summer long. Beau is building me a chicken coop in the remodeled barn that will be the envy of all, LOL!
How I HATE the world we’re FORCED to live in these days. And I don’t just blame the Socialist Democrats. Republicans are persona non grata in my opinion. What a useless bunch of Quislings!
The american serfs don’t give a rats ass about the J6 prisoners, why should would anyone think they could care about the Amish?
The idea that only professional affirmative action government bureaucrats are qualified to assure food safety is ludicrous.
I wouldn’t be surprised to learn the professional affirmative action gangster-government bureaucrats who stole the farmer’s food took it home to their own freezers.
