Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded that taxpayers in the United States and European Union send the country even more aid if the West wishes for elections to be held next year.
In an interview published by the president’s office on Sunday evening, Zelensky said that he would be willing to hold elections despite the ongoing martial law amid the war with Russia, so long as the U.S. and EU bankroll the voting process.
The Ukrainian leader said that elections during peacetime typically cost around 5 billion hryvnia ($135 million) but did not speculate as to how much more they would cost during a war, though presumably it would be much higher.

Zelensky sure does make a lot of demands — of our money, of our weaponry, of our politicians.
Either he has a sizeable blackmail book or he is paying out a lot in kickbacks.
I am sure Vlad will be happy to pay for the election, he might even count the ballots just to make sure everything is beyond reproach

This whole thing is a gigantic grift by the shyster class. If you think the billions already sent to Ukraine is too much, wait ‘til you see the trillions we’ll be obliged to provide for its “rebuilding.” The shyster Fink is already in Ukraine arranging the grift. They did exactly the same thing when the old Soviet Union was dissolved.
I heard he has posh houses in Israel, London, and Florida. I didn't know he bought a new pad in Egypt.
Ukraine is pushing their victim card a little too hard. Zelensky and the rest of the Ukrainian leadership are not good guys. The only real difference between them and the Russians is the Russians invaded them and not the other way around- and that was after they spent years poking the bear.
All elections in Ukraine would do at this point is put a thin veneer of legitimacy on their government, kinda like the deep state did for Biden in 2020.
The pad in Egypt was in the news last week. He’s a busy man. His acting job pays well.
