Three Ukrainian pilots, including a well-known MiG-29 pilot who went by the call sign “Juice” and was part of a unit known as “Ghost of Kyiv,” died in a plane crash over the weekend.

Two L-39 combat trainer aircraft collided in the sky near the city of Zhytomyr, about 87 miles west of Kyiv, on Friday, resulting in the deaths of three pilots, the Ukrainian Air Force wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.

Funny how they made the transition from the story about “The Ghost of Kiev” being a single pilot who shot down all those Russian planes, to now, a unit of pilots of which one of these dead pilots belong to.

I imagine that allows them to obfuscate in some way that “The Ghost of Kiev” as originally presented was totally false propaganda.

Training is dangerous. The US lost 13,000 airmen in training accidents during World War II.
