I believe that is correct. I also believe that not only are many people âshyâ about admitting to owning guns, the shyness really shines when asked to divulge how many guns do you own. I cannot think of anyone that I know who only owns one.

I know a number of people who are very closed-mouthed about their gun ownership. They will readily talk about guns only after knowing you and knowing that you own guns.

Well duh. We always knew when they said something ridiculous like “only 35% report being gun owners” that it wasn’t a true representation of what percent actually were gun owners. Only 35% would admit to a complete stranger over the phone that they were gun owners.
