Open floodgates at Arizona border allow thousands of migrants to walk into the country

The door to America is wide open.

Thousands of migrants are flowing across the US border in Arizona every day — literally through open floodgates that have made the Tucson post the busiest point of illegal entry into the country, The Post has learned.

US officials have inexplicably welded open 114 massive gates along the Arizona border to allow water to flow freely during the annual monsoon season and for the migration of an endangered species of antelope, officials said.

But the move is also letting an average of 1,400 migrants from as far away as China casually walk into the country daily — with overwhelmed and outnumbered border agents practically helpless to stop them.

“We thought the agents were going to tell us something,” one Ecuadorean migrant said. “But we just walked in.”

Said another from Cuba: “It was so easy to get into the US.

“Nothing like our journey through Mexico. That part was hard,” she added. “I thought there was going to be more security.”

The Southern border is now literally welded open.

Gatherings of migrants pass through the open gates.

Last month, more than 42,000 migrants crossed the US border in Arizona illegally through 114 floodgates that federal officials welded open nearly two months ago.
The state is now the busiest illegal crossing point into the US.

A large metal pin, used to hold the gates open, has been welded to the gate so that it cannot be closed.

I’m so old I remember when even some Dims said we need to stop illegals.

I remember that too. But it’s not like they meant it.

Charles Schumer, 2009:

We will only pass comprehensive immigration reform when we recognize this fundamental concept. The following seven principles are all based on this concept, and comprise what I believe to be the framework for a bill that can receive overwhelming Congressional support:

1. Illegal immigration is wrong, and a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration.

2. Operational control of our borders—through significant additional increases in infrastructure, technology, and border personnel—must be achieved within a year of enactment of legislation.

3. A biometric-based employer verification system—with tough enforcement and auditing—is necessary to significantly diminish the job magnet that attracts illegal aliens to the United States and to provide certainty and simplicity for employers.

4. All illegal aliens present in the United States on the date of enactment of our bill must quickly register their presence with the United States Government—and submit to a rigorous process of converting to legal status and earning a path to citizenship—or face imminent deportation.

5. Family reunification is a cornerstone value of our immigration system. By dramatically reducing illegal immigration, we can create more room for both family immigration and employment-based immigration.

6. We must encourage the world’s best and brightest individuals to come to the United States and create the new technologies and businesses that will employ countless American workers, but must discourage businesses from using our immigration laws as a means to obtain temporary and less-expensive foreign labor to replace capable American workers; and finally

7. We must create a system that converts the current flow of unskilled illegal immigrants into the United States into a more manageable and controlled flow of legal immigrants who can be absorbed by our economy.

The first of these seven principles is that illegal immigration is wrong—plain and simple. When we use phrases like “undocumented workers,” we convey a message to the American people that their Government is not serious about combating illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose.

Above all else, the American people want their Government to be serious about protecting the public, enforcing the rule of law, and creating a rational system of legal immigration that will proactively fit our needs rather than reactively responding to future waves of illegal immigration.

People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens, and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the United States legally.

To the advocates for strong, fair, effective, and comprehensive immigration reform, I say to you that the American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe that their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration—and any successful comprehensive immigration reform bill must recognize this fact.

There is no “inexplicably” about it. It had to have been done on the explicit instructions from the Biden administration, probably on Mayorka’s orders.

I agree that the Dims who said they wanted to stop illegal immigration didn't mean it.

Except maybe Bernie. I remember him being quite adamant about it (because he said illegals would make socialism too expensive to implement). He's the only Dim I can recall who made me think he actually meant it.

In my opinion, anyone who advocates for illegal aliens should be forced to feed, clothe and house them using their (the advocates) own resources!

Note the gender and age of the illegals in the pictures. I imagine they will be law abiding once they are finished breaking the law by entering. Nothing to worry about....

Why are Americans so complacent?

Then from Lukeville to Phoenix is only 150 miles through two sanctuary counties (Pima & Maricopa) with one BP Checkpoint that can pretty easily be bypassed (if it is even open) to the sanctuary city of Phoenix. Then free transportation to any place they want to go, courtesy of the Red, White & Blue.

And they steal them here quite frequently.
